5/5

It is not possible with the normal editor.
But you can disable some limits such as terrain height, the lowering tool (we used that to make the steep walls for example) and adding more tiles for use with the terrain.
And some other things..
You should look up JNGP. It is a "better" version of the editor with less limitations.

I damn sure hope that diablo 3 wont be even close to this game in terms of awesomeness.
If that happens i will personally kill myself.
Becouse let me tell you what.. This map sucks comparing to the real deal, thats for sure.
I will probably play diablo 3 for atleast 4-5 years just like i did will diablo 2 becouse thats what diablo deserves. But the game is just to awesome for some people to be played so they quit after just a few months or maybe even weeks o_O

I have played wow since it came out. And and i am 16 now.
Before wow came out i played diablo 2 for about 4-5 years.
Go figure when i started playing diablo 2. I can tell you i wasnt exactly old back then.

hey guys i wonder if u could answer me question
how did u make to have so many types of terrain in ur pallete i can have only 8 or smth like that while u have 16!! plz tell :)

Well, even though the maximum allowed pallete is 16 the original World Editor is limited to only 8 palletes.

Luckily it is possible to trick the editor to allow more than 8 of them. What we did was to use NewGen, a powerful editor, that discards these arbitrary limitations of the default editor. I recommend that you take a look at it.

NewGen can be found on www.wc3c.net

Have fun.

I wish I did played Diablo 2 and WoW as much as you did... although that is not a really good thing to say. Although we must admit... Diablo 2 is epic. And although people can play private WoW servers, its just not the same thing. You don't see tons and tons and tons of people everywhere, and the main thing... you miss the epic events.

Back to Diablo 3.

It will be frigging awesome.

no update since 19 november 2009 ????
are you going to put the Demon Hunter sometime
Edit : Nvm

Cloudwolf didn't upload this, I did ^-^

The Diablo 3 Warcraft team has moved on to Starcraft 2 (for the most part) and isn't interested in continuing D3W. Cloudwolf made the map free to edit and so I decided to continue the project. This is my extension to the Diablo 3 Warcraft map.

There are no issues at all (Except it may look short to some), so I don't see why not receive a 5/5. But then again, I'm not a map moderator. Although the only reason I would give 4/5 to something would be if the map is really good but it still have issues.

hey, this map have save/load system?

This is a one sit map.
It's not the standard RPG where you do quests and farm mobs to level up.
For this reason it does not have a save/load system. It would not fit at all.

I actually wonder if you played the map before asking, as I do not really understand how anyone would want a save/load system in this map :p

The issue with that is that you would have to play the maps in a specific order.
being able to choose which one to play freely is a much better choice for such maps =)
The only difference with having save/load between the maps would be:
You have to play each map in a specific order.
And you would have a higher level.

So there isn't really anything positive with having a save/load feature.

As I've said in previous comments, you would still start out at a certain level if you didn't load. If you've ever PLAYED the maps in order, you would notice that, while you start out level 1 on New Tristram, you start out at level 15 on Borderlands, the next area. Loading would not give you much of an advantage, as you would generally be level 15 at the end of New Tristram. If you get a LOT of +32 EXP bonuses for killing creeps insanely quickly, you can get up to level 16, which I usually am, because I love using the demon hunter's grenade + molten shot :)

I think you misunderstood... that's exactly the bad thing... IF YOU SAVE YOU NEED TO FOLLOW THE RIGHT ORDER OF MAPS...

example: I saved after Tristam, now I need to play in Borderlands next so that I will get to load my items and then level enough to survive in Bastion... since If I load on bastion right after playing on tristam, I will have my equips, but on a lower level...

now if I play bastion without loading, I get the right level, but without my items...

Seriously you are really annoying the hell out of me because you aren't reading what I say. YOU START AT A SPECIFIC LEVEL WHETHER YOU SAVE OR NOT. There, did you read what I said for the tenth time?
That means, if you load a level 16 from the previous map, you start level 16. If you don't load, you start level 15. If you load a level 5, you are level 15. Borderlands starts you out at level 15 already.

What the heck..?
Just get over it already.

This is our map. If you want to discuss stuff regarding Boodys maps, go talk with him, we do not work on this map anymore, this project is over.
And Boody has done a great job to make the diablo 3 maps stay alive.

And TLI, we have have ALOT of discussion regarding save/load. We have, I promise.
And we came to the conclussion that it is a bad idea overall.
If you get premade characters, then why have your own characters anyway.
The only real reason for this is that people want to have a character that is better than a premade. Anything else is just an excuse.
The maps is balanced around the premades.

So in the end having save/load is completely useless, and the discussion does not even belong here.
We do not work on the project anymore, and we have moved over to modding sc2 now.
