Diablo III Warcraft Beta v1.19b



This map has been based on the Diablo III Gameplay Video. You may even recognise a few of the in-game events if you've seen it! Please remember that this is a beta version, and may still contain bugs. Anyone can host this online, just let me know if you find any major flaws in the game :)

You obviously do not read before posting such things?
You know, i have tried to explain to people that this project is dead for a couple of (p)ages now.

I mean, notice how the description of the model clearly says:
It was initially made for Diablo III Warcraft before that project got discontinued.
We have known about that model for a damn long time now, it was even made for this map.

Could you please do 2 things for me...
1. Read the resources descriptions before doing stuff like recommending them, becouse if you didnt read the description, you could end up doing stuff that the resource was not made for.
2. Do a 10 second check on the last few posts in a thread before commenting, it helps alot.

Don't bitch people for not reading previous posts, there's like tons of pages in this thread. They're all newcomers that like this map, and thus they want to see it improved/expanded. Chill people...

You are defending people that does not do the obvious.
Compare it to a RL discussion, what if someone started to talk about something when someone else just a few seconds ago told you not to talk about it.
Before you start to talk, you should atleast take a moment to check what the person before you said/wrote.

Really fantastic map
terrain is amazing and probably the best aspect of the map easily 5/5
skills and animations are unique and work fluently 5/5
models of the characters are well done. monk is my favorite. could use a better skin for barb though.
This is one of the best RPG maps i've seen to date. well done

it doesn't matter if so many people want to get this map revived because the team that made this map doesn't want to... is it hard to understand?

Apperently it is insanely hard for them to understand it...

The day they all understand that we are now modding StarCraft II and NOT WarCraft III it may make a slight difference. And the day they understand that we wont move back to WarCraft III they will start yelling at us even more.
So yeah, this is an endless loop that will never end.

Anyway... The new smilies is just AWESUM! :goblin_good_job: (Me == Goblin fan)

I understand, however I'm still amazed by this map, I wonder if SC2 will do better? or better for worse?

I havent purchased SC2 yet but I will soon in the future as soon as I master WC3...

Is the map you can download the latest version or do you have a in-work map that has some more stuff?

Actually, there is a never released 1.20. It was suppost to be one of the biggest patches so far featuring reworking with the gameplay itself to make it more like diablo 3. We were also going to introduce Anachrons inventory system into our map, but we dropped the project before that system was released.
So you could say that there is a version with more content but it was dropped in the middle of the production making it unplayable and probably worse then the already released 1.19b.
So do not even bother about the unreleased version, it never got close to finished and wont be. :)

Why people just don't turn off to the OTHER Diablo III maps? Really... You guys could post a link of the other Diablo III maps on the last page and on description so that people stop bothering you. Its the better solution I could think off. The author is Booody if I'm not mistaken.

Booody needs the inventory system added in. his current one is kind of annoying.

I am pretty sure i remember him saying that he wanted gameplay and action. and therefor not having a inventory like this.
For a map as short as this one a inventory is not really that useful, becouse all it does is consuming time and items does not really make any big difference at all.
The inventory is also horribly made in this map and i dont understand how people think its not. I made this inventory and i know the truth..

If he were to use an inventory system similar to this one it should be anachrons inventory system for sure.

but its kinda hard to use a FSI for a fast-paced map like boody's D3 maps... and I believe that a lot of players already told him to add an FSI...

and Anachron's system wont be in vain, RPG maps will most likely use it... anyway that's the genre where its really useful...

I have downloaded your unprotected map and i can open it just fine on world editor.

However, when i try to do some edit ( just for testing purpose ) - i can not save this map or test this. Are there anything i need to do to test the unprotected map ? I m currently using world editor 1.24c.

Btw, great map :) its too pity that it wont get update anymore :(

I think you gotta use NewGenWE.

and I also suggest you upgrade to 1.24e coz some of the new maps are only compatible on that...

The monk is close enough to a rogue if you ask me.
It just lack the stealth. But i would not having stealth in such a map, becouse it would totally ruin the point of Diablo.
I am not saying that rogues is bad, it is my fav class in wow aswell. But i play a druid..

Judging from the play trailer, The Demon Hunter look so awesome... ranger + trapper, and some kind of shadow magic and an blink-like spell o_O
