This is a zombie shooting map, 4 players co-operate. You fight various monsters (like zombies, skeletons, explosive zombies,... and MANY more) and travel throught nice and dark terrain. Weather effects, custom sounds and sound ambients gives this map a nice horror mood. Some of the monsters will have abilities, like exploding after death, auras, summons, spells, living twice,... and so on. All enemy rangeattacks are evadable, you just have to run out of the way. There are seven Boss units, that will end each chapter of the map.

There is a 3rd person camera, that you can change by clicking up and down arrowkeys. Camera changes automatically both distance and angle, so you can change it lightningfast in the middle of action. Shooting works in the same way as in DotD1, loading screen and quest menu gives you the required information. There are 10 weapons, but some of them are hidden, so have a watchful eye on every bush. You can only carry one weapon at the time, if you pick up a new one, your old one will drop.

There are three offencive items, wich you can use when your weapon is (f.e.) on cooldown, and they are Holy-Handgrenade, Molotov Coctail, and Silver Stakes. You can use Hunter's Nets to hold your target away, while shooting. Kevlar Vest helps you to lose less hitpoints, and Medi Kits and Relics (passive) will recover your lost hitpoints. Clips are just to reload your weapon. Noob's Chance gives you some help if you are still a started, but if you want to play hardcore, just drop it.

To make it short, this is bigger, cooler and better than Day of the Damned 1.

The map is protected, but looks like your mapprotection detector didn't detect it

P.S. I wasted seven months of hard work on this map, so i would appriciate that you would try it. It should be worth of a try too, it's featured at Maps 'n' Mods.

This is a beautiful map. the cliffs were well placed, the doodads were plentiful. i especially love how you could make the map dark enough to set a mood, but light enough to let the player see ahead of themselves. the map gets even nicer later in the game.

and it wasn't just a black kind of dark; the fires and water tinting and fog added a different feel of dark to the map in each area. even the transitions from one area to the next was well done. the terrain and doodads were different between areas, but i never really saw the point that they switched. the only problem with the look of the game is the hunter's bright cape.

The gameplay, however, did get sort of repeditive. i've tried to make games like this before and i never got very far becuase its hard to keep this kind of game original; the varied abilities of the enemies was nice though. some times the reloading was tedious, especially when i was surrounded by enemies. pressing num7 felt like my weapon wasn't automatic, even when i was using an ak-47. the camera always moving to my hunter's facing was kind of a pain too.

although i do have some issues with the gameplay, i strongly reccomend all mapmakers to dl this map and see what this genius did with the terrain.
