Welcome to the official Dawn of Mezmor ORPG thread!
(Click the logo to get to our official forums.)

Info:

I have remade some features from the map Twilight's Eve ORPG and improved them.
So this is basically a more balanced and updated Twilight's Eve with new content.

I do this cause I want the game to stay wc3.
I see a lot of extremely well done ORPGs here, with custom UI and stuff, that's too much for me. I want things to stay simple.

The map will focus heavily on lategame, you will level fast at start but at level 30+ (max is 50) you will start to level really slow.
The spells will be modified after testing to scale pretty hard so that you'll really want to gain levels.

Features this far:

Save/load System (Also loads revival point and position of saved unit.)
Stat-scaling abilities
Pressing space bar will pan the camera to your hero.
Q/W/E/R Ability Hotkeys

Dungeon System
All of the dungeons have torches outside of them, they make up for a square shaped region. Stand inside of it and type: -enter. When you do so everyone inside of that area will be transfered to the dungeon. When you have slain the last boss you will be transfered to a loot area, containing 10 loot platforms. Each player will be transfered to respective platform where 1 random item will drop, (NEW) some items have higher chance than other.
(NEW) If two dungeon groups finish at the same time then the first dungeon group's loot will not disappear anymore.

Chest System
Type -open when nearby a chest for random loot (the loot is based on zone level)

Currency System
When killing bosses you gain tokens based on their difficulty. Theese tokens can be used for purchasing strong items.

Current Content:

2x Dungeons
3x Cities
9x Quests
3x 1st Specialization Classes
6x 2nd Specialization Classes

Announcements:

Right now I'm looking for testers.
I want you to look for leaks, suggest things (items mostly) and help me balance the game (it should be balanced for like 4 people).
There will be tester-only items that you will be given when the map goes live. If you're up for the job PM me.

As someone that has never played Twilight Eve, what is this 'Improved Dungeon System' you speak of? More information please :)

By the way, when taking screenshots in the world editor, it is advisable to turn off info displays so there isn't that ugly purple and black chequered box all over the place ;)

The terrain looks rather simple, could do with some doodad populating, though don't go overboard on it. The tiling is good and well mixed! In that first screenshot, it looks as if there should be some hilly parts/height variation in that town... just looks a bit too flat!

Good luck :)

Thanks! Ill add more info about the dungeon system etc. as soon as i get access to my pc. And about the terrain; the first screenshot is of the town Avon and it's not 100% complete, i've just built the base. :)

Edit: oh and yes i totally forgot to turn off the info display. ;)
