My cinematic is going good, I have started development and I think I have a rather good idea. Now to just see if I actually finish this within deadline...

It's not hard creating a cinematic.Mine took me 6 hours for 1,32 mins.

And BTW,i will see if i can cut some scenes,but it would become MUCH worse...anyway...

-At the start of the cinematic everything is black and the storyteller tells the story.Does it count in the time limit??

Lol, you've already spend 6 hours on it? I have spend around 30 minutes starting out on the terrain so far

mm... depends on how important it is. I mean if your cinematic can live without it, then I would say get rid of it, but if its really important I know the story, then no, you can have it at the start.

Yeah, the 1 minute thing should be kept from all peoples sides, at least if you go past it, it should give you minus points in score.

Thats silly. Bob you will get yourself in trouble soon promising this & that for everyone. Just stick with the one minute time limit, no exceptions. Less talking, more action.

I just finished "mixing" the music which I am going to use for my cinematic. I am very pleased with the end results, this will be killer!

Trying to find a perfect one minute song not much likely I will find perfect but I will then build the cinematic around the song or at least try to.
EDIT: I need a good battle song and still haven't found any. If anybody can suggest me anything I would be glad to hear.

Yea ok then, the only thing that doesn't count is credits, everything else is counted in the time limit.

and everyone, if your looking for music www.edgen.com is a site i've used for music before, so you might find something there you would like to use in your cinematic.

That is a mac program, and it can export sounds into wav or mp3 format

Yea well Craka seams to have disappeared, so its no fun if Crakas not here to see it

I will try to make my cinematic smaller.I don't think cutting 30 seconds would be hard but i will have to change some things in the cinematic.

How long is the cinematic? 1:30? Shouldn't be too hard to cut it down from there, either just speed everything up or cut some stuff off.

Depending on whether or not it fits it can be bad or not. I am using custom music.

I like Wc3 music a lot.So,that's why i am using it.And i think i can make the cinematic smaller.BTW which is the number of contestants??

Don't know exactly, from memory its like 10 or something atm.

And as for music, it depends on like raging said, how well it fits in with the scene.

I didnt like that you didn't use queue animations(or what's it called), i looks much nicer with it.

But the terrain was pretty good but the cameras were a little annoying

Ok well I won't comment on it to much, but one thing I would suggest is having more action, and less dialouge at the start. Also I would try and get rid of that extra 8 seconds, because you will probably loose marks for it going over.

I did finally receive a very good song I will use!!! =D And now I'm making the terrain and I'm really excited about this one minute cinematic. You know the camera max far sight is only 10 000? I would have wanted to use more horizon than that but I will now stick to this 10 000 area.

Ok, glad that everyone is getting their entries done

And I have said this before, and I will say it again, the best way to deal with the 1 minute limit and to make a good cinematic is to get straight to the action, and put any introduction or anything like that in the loading screen or something.
