Change spell damage type

I haven't found a thread for that so here is my question:

Is it possible to change the damagetype of spells to any other damagetype.
E.g. something like my "Entangling roots" deal now chaos damage.

I hope this is possible and that you can help me.

It's not possible. You need to trigger the ability.

You have to do a lot of things with triggers. I'm so used to doing everything in triggers I often forget there is sometimes a simpler way to do it in Object Editor or gameplay constants.
