Hi there,
I hope you know more about the editor then me.
At first i tried to import files with the import manager.
That worked for example at the icons, the minimap, etc,
but NOT at the model files, that i downloaded at hiveworkshop.
I have 2 computers, and it didn't worked!
I would be very thankfully, if you helped me, or if you posted something!

Sorry for my bad english, I'm just from Germany.

@DarkAngel: English only... send him a PM/VM if you wish to speak German (yes, I understand German, I know you're trying to help, but it's still against the rules).

Ehh... again?
This question has been asked so many times on the hive that I really don't feel like explaining it again (I've seen this thread about a million times, really).
How about using the "search"-button for once?

However: I will create a list for this one more time...
  1. Download the model you want to import.
  2. Import all included files in the world editor.
  3. Open the readme file (if there is no readme, go to "No Readme")
  4. In the readme file, there should be a list of blp-files and the path to use. (if the paths aren't given, go to "No Readme")
  5. Go to the import manager, click on the blp-files and change the name of the path to the path shown in the readme.
  6. Reload your map by opening/closing the map or the world editor (this is necessary!).

No Readme:

The general path of blp-files is this:
Textures\BLPFILE.blp

Sometimes the blp-files are inside additional maps (such as "Documents\CoolModel\Additional\HeroGlow\Glow.blp").
When there is a blp-file inside more folders, set the path name to all folders (starting from the model folder), in my example it would be:
"Additional\HeroGlow\Glow.blp

There are some cases in which the texture doesn't require a prefix, so you just need to remove the "War3imported" and it should work (this isn't very common).

Notes:
  • The path of .mdx-files don't matter, only the textures' path (.blp-files) are important.
  • These are just examples, do NOT copy them literally, use the same name as the file and only change what comes in front of that.
  • Restart the world editor after importing the model (I've said it before and I'll say it again).

If this didn't work, be more specific.
