Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: My antivirus says that this program is virus!
A: If your antivirus detects this program as trojan, you probably have McAfee, Comodo, eSafe or Prevx. They don't know anything about exe-optimization-by-hands and UPX. Therefore I recommend to change antivirus.

Q: What's all those BLP settings for?
A: Check butman_readme_eng.txt.

Change log for v1.8.2:
  • Extended PNG support
  • Fixed bug when saving icon with enabled transparency view
  • Fixed bug with incorrent saving in JPEG format

You mean it doesent take an icon which already has autocast and then remove it?
The answer would be that where the yellow things are in the corners you would just make it black, as the tool doesent know how the rest of the icon looks.

Hmm, no, I think he means that program creates icon with DISBTN prefix instead of DISATC. But the image itself is surely correct, just wrong name prefix...

For single icons, I'd recommend to just copy and rename DISBTN<icon name>.blp to DISATC<icon name>.blp, it's not so hard to do.

For multiple icons, there are few steps to make it work:
1. Copy ..\Button Manager v1.7\standard\bm_DISBTN.bmp to ..\Button Manager v1.7\custom\bm_DISATC.bmp
2. Open Button Manager.
3. Go to "Tools" => "Settings..." => "Image" tab.
4. Select "bm_DISATC.bmp" in "Border name" list.
5. Write "DISATC" in "Border prefix" field.
6. Write "ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtonsDisabled\" in "Import path" field.
7. Set "Shading Amplifier" to 120%.
8. Press OK.
Now, when you'll want to make multiple icons with Icon Wizard, just additionally select bm_DISATC.bmp.

Sorry for inconvenience. Hope this would help.

I wrote a while ago:
Anyway, it will be added to the new version of this program.
Don't worry, I shall not forget about that.

New version will come out in August or September (I hope so). What would be implemented in the new version:
- Automatic quality choose for each icon (depending on icon's colour count)

- Automatic folder creating (specified for each border)
// e.g.: all passive buttons will be placed in "C:\Icons\PAS\" if you'll specify "\PAS\PAS$name$" in border properties for passive border

- New language modules
// I have german only atm

- New custom borders
// Don't know, would be they so useful...

- Disabled Autocast
// blah, it is the feature, which absence forced some user to mark this on 4 :\

I've got to say, very useful tool and it can easily implement into icons, with BLP conversions. This is obviously a simple use tool which can be used for mapping.

Rating: 5/5 (I've tried it heaps of times, nice work. Even tried it during my private mapping)

McAfee recognizes almost every EXE packed with UPX as some virus.
This fact kinda hints us that you have very good antivirus.

Well before installing McAfee I tried Button Manager and is very good, simple and clean art I say 10/10 but that anti-virus problem is very bothersome even when I order the anti-virus to restore the file it remove it again.

Damn I was hoping I could use it. But still a good tool  (+rep)

Therefore I would advice to download this archive:
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/pastebin_data/yw1un6/_files/ButtonManager_v1.7.zip
It has non-packed and non-optimized program files, and will not show up any virus warning. I guarantee that. ^_^
Thanks! tired of redownloading it over and over cause of the damn antivirus. Does that mean it sucks?

Also, tool would not be approved, if it had viruses.

'nuff said.
