Benefits and downsides on intetgrating WEU

The "Integrate WEU" function of NewGen is for backwards compatability. If anything, you should only use it to fix your old maps. If you do end up using it, just beware as it may corrupt your map if used improperly. Your map will also be unopenable by anyone else who doesn't have WEU integrated.

To answer your question:

Advantages:
[*] Extra trigger functions
[*] Extra trigger constants (some extra constants are listed, such as attachment points)

Disadvantages:
[*] Slight chance of corrupting your map if some features are used improperly. Always create backups just in case.
[*] Your map won't be able to be opened by anyone who doesn't have WEU integrated. (could be an advantage for protecting, but it is easily bypassable)
[*] The functions it uses have inefficient methods, and some things, like the sliding, might not work after 1.24. (I didn't check, but I assume it doesn't work)

Overall, NewGen will do most of what WEU used to do, but it was made so it won't have those disadvantages. Integrating WEU pretty much only has the advantage of extra GUI functions, but it is nothing you can't do in the normal world editor. (or NewGen, for that matter)
