Battleships Elite Edn 1.3b

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.

Features 8 weapon categories, each with one base weapon and 6 singular upgrades following, yielding 56 total weapons. Four ships tiers each with 3-4 ships; Free starter ships, 2.5k Cruiser Ships, 4k Gunboats, and 8k Flag/Pirate ships, each with different abilities to provide a large array of choices to create new strategies. Traditional auto-combining Hull/Sail and Wood/Repair Crew, with optional single-button upgrading. New terrain layout provides a fresh playing environment, terrain is mostly mirrored to ensure equal use for both teams. Other features include Anti-Backdoor System and Announcements of Killing Sprees/Double Kills. The map is protected.

-Toned down Onboard Gatling Gun damage (25 to 15 damage per bullet)

-Cleaned internal Object Editor Data for organization
-Removed Advanced CC from Predator
-Added New ship: Spanish Armada (Abilities: Master Flare and Crushing Wave)
-Added ship Pre-loader (There will be no lag when choosing a ship now)
-Fixed Ghost Aura bug for sure (The Plague now stays on affected ship for 2.5 seconds when out of the aura)
-Main Harbor Towers moved closer so they are hit at the same time as the main harbor
-Added in the new loading screen

1.2-1.3b Changes

-Added Item Drop on Leave plus protection for 4 minutes
-Changed reward bonuses to give 4xkills + 8xlevel every 450 seconds
-Added precautions against units sitting in the repair and also makes them leave after fully healed
-Made towers do more damage
-When a team destroys both enemy harbors extra gold is given to their empire to divide.
-Fixed Range tooltip errors in Fire Weapons category
-Fixed Cooldown tooltip errors in Cannon category
-Made Power Fuel slightly faster

CRITICAL BUG IN 1.3 DO NOT USE

Things to do in the future:


-Add the 2 remaining weapon categories (Energy and Hand-Fired Glaive)
-Compress textures/models for better file size
-Add in new things to keep the map interesting
-Rework Trading

I made my first map (Sunken Ruins) off of Sked's 3.0. This map was made off of Sunken Ruins so yes, technically it is made off of Skeds. All weapons and alot of ships are new, not to mention more features. Thank you for the comment.

most people who played battleships a few times simply dont get the difference between a bs x and bs crossfire or in this case between skeds final and drumas maps.
skeds final became boring cuz if u really got into the game its allways the same (cruisers, bowmens, rangeweapons and an early juggernaut to kill towers). if u didnt play a map enough to really know it its just dumb to call it a rippoff. it only shows lack of knowledge bout the bs genre. todays bships mods with all their combinings, ships ( in classes or balanced seperate), all their different ways to use movementspeed and regeneration and their terrains are just to different for a surfacing statement like this. if drumas maps are a rippof, gem td is a ripp of of blue td as well ( sounds stupid doesnt it) .

Way too easy to infiltrate a base and get many kills. All you need to do is have a fast ship, give it bonus HP to a good amount and run past everything with 2 of the highest level guns in your category. I did this repetitively for about 5 min and stopped cuz the game was really getting boring. During my runs in I'd also destroyed all towers and almost killed the harbors. Maybe a no spawn camp tower/trigger?

Otherwise I give 4/5

what is wrong about the fact a player pwns with a really good equipment? i admit i played the map only 5-10 times so far but i m not sure if you complain bout the map or the lack of skill of enemy in the game you played.

Well I like the map eaven if the weapons are like in bs X :p
A little bit too staight for me but that's ok :)
And it really is hard to enter the enemy base if he has enough money cause you can't see in there :)

This is my review for version 1.3b of "Battleships Elite Edn", a spin-off by Druma.

Just like in every Battleships map, you've got to purchase a ship and guns and off you go to battle. The guns fire automatically, leaving you to focus on the ship's movement.

Since I mentioned the gameplay, shall we start from there?
My opinion about the gameplay is, as many users have said above me, that it is boring. Like I said in my description, the game is as simple as buying a ship and purchasing guns, along other stuff.
There are no interesting abilities, just stuns and passive skills.
You can also play the Trader, but for what a friend of mine (who was playing with me said), the Trader is even duller.

The items did not seem to be equally balanced either. The close-range machine guns seemed to be the most powerful of them all, firing a lot and fast, and apparently also stunning. It did not leave me a good impression of the balance.

The terrain was as boring as the gameplay. In another version I reviewed, at least the water was transparent, making up a nice and interesting effect. In "Battleships Elite", I don't remember even seeing doodads. The only thing I remember was a huge map just for the sake of traders, who are, as mentioned above, a boring role to play.

Summing up, this game is as simple as buying the most imbalanced items, stunning the enemy with an ability, getting close to him and wait for the guns to do your job, resulting in utter boredom after a while. Adding to the uninteresting terrain and wrong icons for items and abilities, as well an unorganized ability set, with only the cool imported material (icons) to make up for it, this spin-off is certainly not a good one.
My rating is 2/5 (Lacking), and my vote goes for the map's [highlight]rejection[/code].

Battleships Elite Edn 1.3b is yet another modification of Skeds battleships map. Each player takes control of a ship, and fights the other side in the goal to destroy the main building of the opposision.

Well to start, I must notice that the terrain wasn't good. You didn't modify it, or you even made it worse. Just a lot of Blizzard cliffs and trees on them, the bases looked bad, it can just use a lot of polishing.

The problem with all this maps is imbalance. You get imbalanced amounts of gold every now and then, and experienced players know what to buy, and the new ones don't. Skill doesn't play a big roll here, since 90% of your gold you get from the computer.

What I also don't like, is the model usage, I just don't see how the vulcan cannon fit there.

The tooltips and hotkeys were fine, except that Rui told me he had an passive button for an active ability. You should fix that.

I don't like the fact that the different ship buying buildings are so far apart, I didn't know the other one even existed. You should make them next to each other.

To conclude, this map doesn't differ much from the other BS maps, you changed the terrain, but it doesn't look good, you added a model or two, perhaps a ship or two, thus I would give it a 2/5 yet still Rejected.
