It looks ugly as hell, that's why we shouldn't ignore it.

It's the system that was used before some major forum reforms. Back then avatars were left-alighed and user titles were right below the name.

I kinda got used to the new system though. It actually worked better. So I see no reason in reverting to the old one.

Thankfully the forums don't support UTF-8 encoding, and are instead stuck on ISO-8895-1, so you can't use the really long Unicode characters.

To be honest. I REALLY preferred it underneath the avatar. Why on earth was it changed?

Back when user titles were first put below the avatars, people complained. Now they are put back up and people complain. I'm noticing a pattern here...

I think a User Title is ideally below the user name. If it were called "Avatar Title," it would be fitting to be below the avatar. Perhaps what you guys want is the creation of an "Avatar Title" field?
