just clarifying a few things I may have said that were unclear and stating further issues
-it's not that eywa's abilities are overly strong, it's that later ability spam is simply annoying because it can obliterate your entire army with repeated spells being thrown at you that R.D.A have no defence against
-I didn't think Avatar was a great movie myself to be honest because even our militaries we have today could win such a conflict, that and the humans in the movie happened to be lacking a great deal of intelligence. We have better weapons around today, we have better vehicles around today, the humans only had 2 ground vehicle types, and they had a giant spaceship they barely used. One quote which sums up why Avatar would go completely different if the future was realistic. "Long-distance guided missles and bombs will not exist in the future" apparently humans only have the capability of fighting when they're a few feet away from their enemies in the future?
-responding to Dj0z, I have to say that I agree with you now on all aspects of your argument but one, I did not say that avatars should be forced to remain human or anything of the sort. Also, your argument about how it would take away from the rpg and scenario aspect of the game really wouldn't be a problem if you gave Avatars that remain with the humans more things to do and maybe more skills to develop? (sure it takes away from those aspects now however you haven't implemented any system to improve those mechanics for an avatar staying with humans). The role playing and scenario would only be degraded if you continue to improve their gameplay purely on the side of eywa/Na'vi.
-locusts don't eat human flesh so no you wouldn't die, there was also no giant man-eating locusts in the movie lol
not trying to be rude or anything however I do feel that Avatars staying with the humans are only bad because you make them such by not improving upon that aspect of the game.
-Eywa's obliteration capability is being seriously nerfed in 0.54, which i already started making

. For example there will no longer be "free" summoning, you'll need an atorkirina nearby where you wanna summon, making you take risks and making the middle of RDA bases safer.
-This one wasn't a question but i'm gonna answer still. The reason they used to justify RDA weaponry is some kind of deal that RDA has with Earth governments, who fear if RDA had all weaponry available, they could take over Earth from orbit, since they have all those spaceships and remote planets and stuff..
*Note that i personally don't care, and might aswell keep adding things like Big Berthas and MLRS, which were never possibly a part of the movie's weaponry.
-About alliances, my bad, i meant all i can do is make them start allied with
Na'vis (and eywa) right from the start, but i had written "humans"...
I really have no plans to let Avatars play allied with humans, as it would require a world of updates and additions and balance testing etc.
I have no doubts it could be fun if pulled off correctly, but what i'm trying to do these days is release a 1.0 version to close beta stage and have a neat, balanced and finalized game. Such a huge change would take me too far from my objective.
*** Did not tried 0.53b yet ***
Some minor issue:
-The color code of a tip about hometree did finish.
-When I destroy my own space pad, I gain 5 human knowledge...
-Sometimes, my RDA hero gain a killeraura...
Some advices:
General:
-Respectively display tips for RDA, Avatar and Eywa
-More tips
RDA:
-Maybe a reminder "ISV's mana is full, drop something!". Something like that.
-HQ/radar can have a scaner to scan where metallic grounds are.
Avatars:
-Gain something(maybe XP/Animal knowledge) when Avatars use Discover on Animals Respawner
-Yeah i had seen that ugly colorcode too, fixed in 0.53b or 0.54.
-Uhh that's odd. That would mean when playing as human. Will check.
-Yes, probably an ability ID mess that gave the Killer Aura to some unit that shouldnt have it, somewhere near RDA base. I'm still searching which one it is.
-There's already tips for Avatars. I'll add some for Eywa but so far it's not a priority, she's the easiest to understand.
-Will add more tips based on what players have the most problems with.
-Will not add mana warning, that is the player's job, and it could annoy those who are keeping it full to prepare a massive drop somewhere.
-Metallic ground detection? why not.
-Yeah Avatars will eventually be able to get something from ALL possible things you can use Interact on.
