It seems Apophysis is becoming increasingly popular here.

The Apophysis information center can be found here. It has all sorts of information regarding this wonderful program.

Apophysis is a fractal making program for Windows. Basically by playing with triangles and variables you can make some really cool-looking things. Attached are some examples of what this program can do.

Most people do not know what Apophysis is (although I do but this is an example). I recomend you edit your post to give a brief description why people should click on those links and even why they should continue reading this thread. Not a long intro but one that just informs the mal-informed what you are going on about (what it is and does).

Remember, delivery is everything for people who know nothing and by doing something as simple as adding a brief introduction to the program you can easilly get more people to try it out and even use it (making the community bigger).

iri, what quality are those rendered on? Try 4000 or higher.

I used 200, but i made the 3rd one, eco-sphere, 2000.

Hmm. I always go with 4000 minimum. I do more if it needs it.

It should not be "grainy", like yours are in some parts.

4000 would take like 1 day to render without a half decent CPU.

Depends on how complicated the fractal is. On average, 4000 takes about an hour for me.

Oh, and here are a bunch of plugins.

To install them, make a folder called Plugins in the same place that your apophysis program is. Then put the .dll's in there. You can only have a maximum of 30 plugins at a time.

Plugins only work with 2.07b, and not the 3D hack.

Me playing around, getting used to how the program functions a bit more.

I call it, planet of the ghosts.

Most of what I am doing wil lbe rendered at 2000 as I can not be bothered to wait longer than 15 minutes for a render unless it is really good.

Try flipping the transforms instead of rotating them.

I used a bunch of Julians with lots of bubbles. Do you want the parameters? (You CnP them directly to the program.) Also your renders might look better if you put them on a black background instead of leaving them transparent.

Oh, and one other thing. Today at 6:00 GMT/1:00 EST (Time converter) there will be a Speed Fractaling Session. What these are is that one person (the host who's also the judge) posts a set of parameters. You are given 30 minutes to tweak the fractal using the given parameters. You cannot modify the original transforms; you have to add your own ones and modify those. To join it you need an account on deviantART and then just go to the #Apophysis chat room at that time. (The chat page link is on the top, above the search box) You will be using Apophysis 2.07b and you need the Whorl and Pie plugins (both are in that plugin pack)
