So I have this TD-like map, and i want to bring something new in it.
So there are barricades in front, and towers at the back of your siege line. You have to repair with your builder, because the enemies attack all buildings.
There are purchasable items to make another twist. The shop contains bonus repair packs, stun enemies and items like this.
There are 6 types of towers at the moment, and i want to create more.
This is when YOU appear in the picture!

I dont want to make that GreenTD shit with boring tower attacks, i want to bring something new, interesting, and funny into the game.
I want to make special attack types for the advanced towers!

For example there will be a Life Steal Tower, what heals walls when it hits an enemy.

I want you to think of any special tower attacks what you can imagine. (And doable for a td-like map)
Release your fantasy, and help me please :)

Think, think, think, omg they have took all ideas. It's so hard to be unique after 10 years.

Idea 1: Void Tower: Unit what attack barricade will get lower attack speed.
Idea 2: Sky Tower: Now here are few suggestions for it but main thing is to it has no barricade
1: Flying Tower cannot be attacked by group units, but it takes extra damage from flying
2: round Units dealt only 75% damage to it, and all unit has 35% chance to miss
Idea 3:Sacrifice Tower: When nearby barricade get lower than 25% this tower will sacrifice it's 100hp to heal barricade for 200hp

I am coming when ideas comes

These are good for start, I'm thinking about the Void tower, and I'm planning to implement the Sky Tower in another way:
There is a Flying machine trained by the SkyTower, its movable, and damageable. If it dies, there is a cooldown untill the next machine is trained.

What I want to ask, is more about the tower attack effect/mode than the tower itself.
For example: a Tower with knockback is more interesting than a tower with stun :)
So lets focus on the type and effect of dealing damage to the enemies!

Thx for help Hammerfist, +rep!

Hive tower: unleashes a swarm of tiny, low-health monsters on enemies, who return to the hive in order to heal.

Superlaser: Channels to charge power, then fires a continuous beam at a single target, doing great damage over several seconds.

Missile Silo: launches a single missile anywhere on the map, but the missile take a while to get there.

Arcane Tower: casts a random negative effect on units in range.

Storm Tower: fires a bolt of chain lightning at units in range.

Bomb Tower: when has low health, the tower explodes, dealing massive damage to neabry enemies

Defense Tower: gives health and armor bonus to neabry allies

Tornado Tower: becomes tornado when has low health, damaging heavily neabry enemies and increasing attack speed, but reducing tower's defense and health

Healing Tower: heals neabry allies

Zombie Tower: affects neabry enemies with the ''disease'' buff, slowing them and dealing damage per sec for a period of time

Graveyard: raises skeletons and zombies in front of barricades

Rocket Launcher: sends rocket riders to neabry enemies to destroy them

Jumping Tower: has a chance to avoid some attacks jumping

Fire Tower: when has low health, burns, losing health until destroyed, but affecting neabry enemies with the ''burn'' buff, dealing damage for a perdiod of time

Demon Tower: when has low health, raises spikes from the ground, damaging and bleeding enemies

Thanks so much for the ideas, these are great!!
I'll definitely implement natural disaster towers such as: Storm tower, Tornado tower, Earthquake tower!

For models, i've already figured out a real good idea:
attachment.php

So if its a zombie tower, i can easily put a zombie/abomination to the top of the scout tower. Same with the tornado, I can put a mage to the top of the tower, what will cast the tornadoes and storms!:ogre_haosis:

Linked Towers: Tower system that can link to other towers of its type via an on-off ability. The (default) A tower can attack but has no special properties, the B tower sacrifices its attack in order to power up a nearby A tower. The transformation happens instantly when the icon is clicked.

The A towers gets additional damage from B towers (say 100% per tower) but suffers lower attack speed. In addition, any effect suffered by a B tower (lowered accuracy, damage, attack speed...) is felt by the linked A tower.

The channeling can be interrupted at any time if many weaker attacks are needed.

Depending on the kind of upgrading you'll use, here are a few possibilities:

Network- B towers can now link to B towers, transmitting it to the A tower with only a 10% loss in output per additional tower in that particular chain (linking two B towers directly to the A tower gets +200% damage total, linking B to B to A gets +190% damage total, B-B-B-A gets +280%, etc.).

Hub- B towers can now link to two A towers.

C tower- A third type of tower available later in the game. Does and adds no damage, but has a variety of (single target) status effects, linking to an A tower gives the A's attack a status effect. Possible effects include splash damage, Cripple, Black Arrow, stun...

Yeah I've been thinking about that!

But i thought it'd be more like a combo system: If you link two towers, the attack they deal would get both towers effect.
Lets say Tower A has poison arrows, Tower B deals splash damage. If they are linked, they would attack together, and every unit effected by Tower B would get poisoned by Tower A.

Thx for the ideas, +rep for everyone!
