Afraid of what's gonna happen to Warcraft 3

They just made Starcraft free. I think it's obvious they're planning to make warcraft 3 free.

I don't like the changes they're making! it broke my NEWGEN editor. And there's no way of me fixing it now because I didn't have another earlier version installed elsewhere.

Now Blizzard is planing to release more game and code breaking updates. Why? Why do they have to complicate things. There's gonna be some gems made a few years ago which are protected, whose creators have abandoned WARCRAFT 3 and those games will be rendered unplayable.
