Hello to those who are reading my post.

I had an Idea that was to have an AC130 style shooter, similar to that in Call of Duty 4, where the player completes objectives by assisting friendly NPCs from the perspective of an AC130 Gunship.

Please input your thoughts on this as I would really appriciate them, Thanks.

this would be a very hard project to do... I guess you could use arrow keys to aim the gun (there would always be a delay using arrow keys, no matter what you do)... but then you gotta make dummy's who are the bullets, that go in a straight line towards the enemy units meaning you would have to use tonnes of advanced triggers to change the height according to how close it is to the ground and stuff. <-- that might cause the game to lagg so on and so fort....

Also the camera effect wouldn't be good unless you find an "aimer/cross hairs" model to put in front of the camera As well as a million other things to take into consideration..

I highly unrecommended this project as it would be cool and i want to make one right now, but it would be a very challenging project and take lots of time and work to simply line up the aimer/cross hairs and were the projectile goes... Try if you want, but i definitely would not.

The WC3 engine doesn't really work with 1st person shooters. I've seen a few maps with 1st person PoV, but it must be keyboard controlled. As far as the bullets go, you may be able to bypass the shitload of triggers by finding a bullet model or similar projectile art. You wouldn't get the crosshairs, but you would bypass a few years worth of work.
