Well, in my opinion the Request forum is fu**ed up enough already, and I see no way to save it. This would only resolve in ALOT of threads with [Not Done] as prefix, as most requests seem to not be done. *(Could be 'cause many people request what would take someone a year to finish...)* Anyways, it is a fine idéa, but I think it is not necessary, since unlike WEHZ where most people are helped, not many requesters are in fact helped.

And that's why we need something to mark the gold and filter the dirt.

As a starting-point every member using that forum shouldn't expect to get anything done.

"If you want something done; do it yourself"

I'm not talking about the people looking for help, but the ones looking for ones already helped.

Much more peaceful than making them look at every thread.

Hey, you can even put a emphasized reminder to use the search button with "Filter Undones"

Either make your own request or look in the resource section. And fill the request section with the same thread name? "Can I has a crown?" There's no need to spend useless hours searching through the forum. With a prefix, we don't need to spend time... It's just there straight... If you're looking for more than 10 minutes then continuing your search wont help. But, there are a lot of threads that has no help at all. While there are that are hiding in the 7th page and etc.

I won't spend any time making nor asking Ralle to make such a system for that forum (which I don't even care about) Why don't you care about it? Cause its filled with the same requests? . It's not that kind of *resource section* It is. Where do you think I got a bullet from? The "resource section" or the request? . Instead, you should appeal to whoever it is that answers your call to submit it to the resource section. Some people don't like having their requested models in the model section. While some requests are too simple for this, you guys might delete it.

Hmm... Wanna make a request resource section? Where all the requested models are put?

And 4 Char.

EDIT:

But, if you guys don't want, and really don't want... Fine by me... Just wanted to change that forum for the better than what it is now.

which makes it all the more difficult to find one that is finished. if you need a model and don't know if it has been requested you should NOT make a new thread for it, that would be againts what every mod admin and even Ralle has been saying from the start: search before you post. thus a search for solved/unsolved would be what would mostly solve the problem in at least one section of the forum.

Yeah, but it would look retarded, since 90% of requests posted there go unanswered, and rightly so.

So what? I mean, if 90% aren't answered then the forums already (Without Prefix) is retarded.

But, with the prefix, who knows how many people will say "Good thing they put a frigging prefix, who knew this forum has gold in the hefty pile of dirt"...

It would be easy to implement, The feature is already in this forum system.

Therefore Ralle exists.

But, really, since its that easy, why don't you guys just implement it?

You could even add a feature like this... Lemme say I'm a nice modeler looking for an interesting request...

1. Found a request with a <Not Done> prefix.
2. Starts working on it
3. Post the requested model
4. Check a box that calls a mod's attention
5. Mod or requestee (???) puts a <Done> prefix on the thread.

Seriously, mods, if you think that will consume your time, think again...

You can enforce rules to anyone who wants to mess with you guys, and really... How many times does a request get done every month?

Now, lemme say I need a confetti model...

I search the forums with the <Done> prefix filter on.

then DONE!

I got a confetti that I won't find in the resource section!

I already have enough work with the Help Zone and I find users don't use the system nor do they understand its purpose.
Someone went over me and assigned Traxamillion for the Requests forum, I don't know if he's doing any work there, much less if he'd be willing to check threads every day and change prefixes.
