How about more content before posting this? :/

As opposed to all the screenshots and description phantasy threads in this section? At least I don't post empty promises.

This game is 80% complete.
I deliberately created all systems and base foundation before adding content.
That is the fastest way to do mapmaking.

Heroes have working basic spells and items, nice!

However, your terrain is very uninteresting, it's just one tile and cliffs. Where are all the doodads and tile variations? Since you play in a dungeon there should be a lot of different room sizes and designs, maybe you are in some kind of ruined temple? (watery chambers, disused rooms overgrown by plants, caved in roof, an outdoor "room" etc) Since the gameplay is so simple I think the map would benefit a lot from atmospheric terrain to make it more fun.

Also, some lore and storytelling could be nice. Why are you there? Who are you fighting? What will you discover about the place as you venture deeper into the dungeon?

This is a next generation X Hero Siege, a game so lame that everybody will play it.

Are you saying you made a lame map or I don't get it? :p

No, just that it is a basic hack and slash type of game.
You pick a hero and you kill stuff == pure brainless fun.

I am TERRIBLE at terraining, I think I will try to talk someone like -Kobas- into improving the terrain.

It is an open source-map, you are welcome to contribute anything, including lore and stories, I just don't have the brain for it. (pure programmer)

Dear Codahar,

i like maps like Dusks "obsidian depth" very much (and i keep on playing them...).
So - easy first boss is ok. But 2. Boss and all further bosses should really be challenging and interesting. And Creeps should be tricky, so you need a bit brain to survive. Lore is (imo) not necessary for a dungeon crawler map. But challenge and action. And (of course) terrain is a bit boring. But if gameplay is ok, terrain doesnt count.
At last: Really fine, that we can try it out in single player.
Expecting more versions!

Don't worry about the game being too easy, it will get harder in later dungeons.
I have done only a minimum of balancing to make it test-playable.

-Kobas- has promised to improve on my crappy terraining when he gets the time.

New version: 2011-12-03 (2 more dungeons finished)

I like it.
But bosses are much too simple.
We players want to feel that we need a bit of our brain to win against bosses.
Boss 1 is ok, but then...
Compare with OD!!!! Just a tickle more tactic would be great.
If you want, i think abaout bosses...

For a Boss?

Perhaps a phoenix monster that can only be damaged when not in the egg, however it cannot attack while in the egg. (a simple self stunning divine shield) You'd, however, fight it using catapults and traps that you can set up around the room that you had found in your journey into the dungeon's depths. (Exploding minerals, water, clamps, etc etc.)
