    Hi, your models for LotR are old and loved and many in the LotR community use your elven models. I noticed you have High Elf Cavalry, but no Sindar elf mounted on a horse. Could you create Sindar Cavalry? It would complete the set, I think xD

    Hi, love your star wars models, I'd like to learn how to do that, I scrapped your post, noted 3DS max, phong shading seems interesting too, now I have to put in the time to learn more 3D modelling stuff. Still kinda wondering how you made the texture for your ships.

    Hi, I love your Star Wars models. Are you still active? If yes, could you maybe do one of the Sith ships from Episode I-III? For example Darth Maul's or Count Doku's ship? Sith Infiltrator or Solar Sailer This would help CIS based races since the Galactic Republic has already Jedi Starfighters and Jedi Interceptors.

    Hello! I've discovered recently your Blender - MDL extractor tool and it's quite impressive! Nevertheless I've some problems when trying to use it to get a League of Legends model, of which the animations are already done, to work properly in Warcraft 3. In fact I saw a video about the same scenario (using your tool), for the champion Urgot (link :
    ) and doesn't seem to be a problem with the model or method per se. In my case im doing it for the champion named Lillia, and as a brief summary, the model is imported correctly but the animations are all over the place ( resembling a lovecraftian monster as it twistes during this time).

    The animations and the model in blender follow the required conditions such as the reference position at t=0, the markers that defines the start and end of animation, etc... If you have the time I would like to know if it's fixeable and if so what should I do in case it is:

    If i remember correctly, the issue was with how the units were being disabled as they ran out of fuel, and that this caused the phoenix fire ability to stop targeting them. So the solution would be either to find a different way to disable control of the unit, or to use a different system for fighter attacks than phoenix fire (maybe a dummy unit with an attack that follows the plane?)

    Sorry for ghosting you (no pun intended), here's a folder with all the Halo stuff i've ever done. It should also contain a banshee, ghost, and a warthog (which actually turned out great! I just never finished animating it). Keep in mind that most of the stuff is super old and pretty trash tbh.

    I love your newly uploaded models. Did you ever finish a map with them? I would love to see some more like slingers, camels, egypt or jerusalem stuff. I thought about making a Siege of Jerusalem map or something but there are probably too few models.

    Nothing finished, i was working on a map based on the punic wars, it was supposed to have war elephants, slingers and peltasts and all that jazz. But it was too much work, and i won't complete any of that. If you are looking for crusader-era models, i have a few on my harddrive, though i don't remember who made them. A few english knights and persian soldiers.

    Hmm too bad but I can understand that it was too much work since you basically created real custom models different from Warcraft. I would have had use for more models from that era like you wrote War Elephants, Slingers, Roman Archers, Camels, Chariots etc. etc. At least I have found Battle Elephant and Wild Elephant but no roman archers and no chariots: Warcraft 3 Custom Models For Judean forces I could use Bandit models etc. You can upload all of your models if you want to. I think the community would be very happy.

    Btw. thanks for your Gondor models I used for my Minas Tirith map.
    I wanted to create a map of the Battle of Dagorlad but right now I only have the Minas Tirith map.

    When it comes to chariots - these became effectively obsolete by around 1000BC, and AFAIK they were never used by the Romans other than for ceremonial purposes or for racing.

    As for roman archer, i attached one under the polybian legionnaire's thread, but it doesn't have animations unfortunately. But I just added support for importing with my blender MDL module, perhaps some crafty person can solve that, or transfer some animations from another imported character.

    Tried to fix the problem, now its animation is broken, legs & arms moving somewhere else (another animation plays)
    the walk animation is OK in blender, but when I export it to MDL format, its animation gets some problems.

    • Animating render visibility no longer gives inverted results. You will need to redo visibility animations for previous projects of you've used this though
    • The start and end keyframe of a sequence now shows up in the sequence manager
    • Keyframes which are not part of a sequence will no longer be exported
    • Rotations now always export with linear interpolation until I can fix bezier interpolation to work correctly

    I just want to ask where are you getting the real textures that you use in your models? What website do you trust? Or are those just random real textures you get in the internet and put together whatever fits in your model(s)?

    Not gonna lie you always pick the best real textures with your models, which made me curious.

    Thank you very much! I occasionally use textures.com - especially for tilesets and trees, or just google, but most of my textures are actually hand painted in photoshop. If you are wondering about a particular model, i can maybe share the psd with you if you want to study it. :)

    Thank you for your response! I always suspected the rockets might be a bit overpowered, but the community sort of died out before we had a chance to test them properly. I will see if maybe i can try to fix that.

    If you tell me how to export Blender models to .mdl, I could upload WC3 versions for whatever I made for SC2. I got the materials/textures right, but is there more to configure? It also looks like the model has to be facing a certain direction when being exported, is that correct?

    Alright, so it looks like you made one big timeline lasting the total length of all used animations combined. I see you're putting something between each animation duration, what are they? I also know how to use the "add action strip" function to put several animation sequences on the same timeline, if that helps.

    The animation clips are denoted by so-called "timeline markers", which you can create by pressing CTRL+M. You can also create them from the sequence editor in the scene tab using "add sequence". I recommend that you read the readme on the github repo, it has a bunch of documentation concerning animations: https://github.com/khalv/mdl-exporter
