The phoenix fire with simple movement trigger I find to be the least laggy, and as far as I noticed the phoenix fire put on all units and using that to "kill" the projectile, instead a triggered detection system. I use the phoenix fires range to classify collision size of the unit and quite low cooldown, like 0.05 and damage must ofc be high enough to kill the projectile instantly. However I make sure the "collision size ability" phoenix fire only targets projectiles, for example classification wards.
The only downside is that projectile must be vulnerable, and as result you can select it and it can be targeted unless you deselect the ability to attack wards.
Well that's how it's done in Naval Battle and Missile Wars.
However moving 100 units through triggers at same time is somewhat laggy, so I wonder if it can be a more efficient way to prevent that.
