Inside World Editor, load the Import Manager under the Module menu. Click on File, Import and open the BLP file. Now you need to change the custom path. Double click the item inside the import manager, and check the box that says Use Custom Path. Change the path to "FullScreen.blp" with nothing before it and proper case.

Now import the loading screen file. This model file is a new loading screen which is only one texture. Other loading screens have four corners, and require four images. This screen makes it much easier to use. Once you import it, double click it and check Use Custom Path. Change the model files path to just "LoadingScreen.mdx" with nothing before it either.

Lastly, inside the World Editor, click on Scenario, Map Loading Screen. Check the button that says Use Imported File, and select LoadingScreen.mdx. Close the world editor then re-open it. test your map then boom xD

Hi, do you also make animated loading screens?
Animated screen will be animated only from point when player load map, in multiplayer games game usually start right after that or bot start game for that player or whatever...

It require more space (sometimes) and look poor because for example I use 1920 x 1080 res screen, imagine how good quality animated picture must have to look cool.

Hi there
I need this (the file attached down there) as a MELLE loading screen (with minimap and Player loading) Thanks a buch if you help me :)
and please, don't descrease the quality much, i want it to be readable...
Right click on the image and click "view picture" then left click to zoom it and then DL it.

@xorkatoss :\ I just said that in my last post, i asked that question about 1-2 years ago nobody could do it :( I could do it my self but i'd have to research alil but no time :(

but i saw a map with default loading screen having a custom texture...
maybe you use that photoshop thingy that divides your texture into 4 parts and you name them LoadingScreenBottomLeft.blp (smth like that)...
if i remember right that was a tutorial on how to make an HQ loading screen...
did you guys tried this way and failed?
(pls replay asap because if you didn't im gonna try it :p )

hey guys i got a question...can i use Default Loading Screen but use a Custom Loading Picture?
(by Default Loading Screen i mean the screen that shows when each player is done loading and i want to use that loading screen with a custom texture)

do you understand what i mean? if the answer is yes then is it possible!!?

Yes, it is possible:

1, find a picture (download or make one),size = 1024x768
2, cut this picture into 4 parts:(use photoshop, Model Editor tool

- TopLeft.jpg 512x512
- TopRight.jpg 512x512
- BotLeft.jpg 512x256
- BotRight.jpg 512x256

3, convert all image into .blp
4, import all 4 images, and change to custom directory as below :

UI\Glues\Loading\Multiplayer\Loading-BotLeft.blp
UI\Glues\Loading\Multiplayer\Loading-TopLeft.blp
UI\Glues\Loading\Multiplayer\Loading-Human-BotRight.blp
UI\Glues\Loading\Multiplayer\Loading-Human-TopRight.blp

Note: if your map use difference race (you can see ace on lobby), then you need to change "human" to one of below :
Human
Orc
NightElf
Random
Undead

you can do it yourself:

1, download Magos's War3 Model Editor
http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/tools-560/war3-model-editor-62876/

2, to to menu "Extras" --> Loading Screen Creator . you can play around with compression rate for best quality

3, import all 4 images, and change the custom directory as below :(don't need to change image's file name, only change directory name)

UI\Glues\Loading\Multiplayer\Loading-BotLeft.blp
UI\Glues\Loading\Multiplayer\Loading-TopLeft.blp
UI\Glues\Loading\Multiplayer\Loading-Human-BotRight.blp
UI\Glues\Loading\Multiplayer\Loading-Human-TopRight.blp

I can't check it untill home. but you can try :

- make sure import image is ".blp" (you can't use .jpg for loading screen)
- make sure the path is correct

ok ill make the loading time longer :p
ill upload on this post the new map soon...

EDIT:
here is new map with the custom loading screen...

It work perfect, nothing wrong with it.

if you don't like "mini map" on loading screen. then you can :
- make a screen shot of current screen, measure the position of "mini map"
- open your original loading screen, "cut" a hole for "mini map" (make sure position are same as your screenshot)
- Import the "cut" picture as war3mapPreview.tga

now the "mini map" on loading screen is gone !! (it replaced with the "cut" picture from original loading screen)

good example for this technique : ( for hide "mini map" on loading screen)
http://www.epicwar.com/maps/170590/

----------

Next Step: try out in game mini map (compare "default" mini map with "in-game" mini-map. you need start one game to see the result)

http://www.epicwar.com/maps/34285/

I think this map have one of best scoreboard & report message at the end of each wave

blah blah blah...

nah im ok i want the mini map to show on loading screen BUT check out how the original picture was...
in loading screen it looks different...maybe it's because of cutting it into 512x256?
what if i try to cut the screen into 4 pieces with the same size? will that work?
