This is a thread for discussing your scariest Minecraft moments, and talking about how dang scary Minecraft can get.

Anyways, I'll start with my cow story.

I had just figured out what Herobrine was, and now I got all freaked out whenever I went around a corner or something. Especially when I was loading my worlds, my mind kept telling me he was at the end of the loading bar.

So, anyways, after having created a new world, this cow popes up out of no where in front of me. Now, usually I can tell things are cows pretty fast, but this cow...

WAS AT AN ANGLE! DA DA DUM!

Anyways, it looked like Herobrine at first and I nearly fell backwards out of my chair. But didn't.

The End.


I have another story to post though. It was to long to put in this post with the other words.

I also have another short story where after downloading some mods (Hot Air Balloon, Millenaire or however it's spelled-you know the village NPC mod, and Mod Loader of course) I was playing for a while - Setting Village on fire, actually... - and I heard some creepy music, and the words "Save Me" were whispered at the end. Sounded like a creepy child so I know it couldn't have been a pop song or something. Anyways, I got thoughts in my head that Herobrine might pop out so I looked around.



The cow got me again.

I know it might be from the mod, but why would save me be in millneire village mod or hot air ballon?

I suppose so... But it was still really creepy music.

If I knew they where gonna put music like that in a mod for burning, I would have suggested death metal or something.

I played on peaceful but when i turned it to normal, THAT CREEPER SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME. Again THE ZOMBIE almost gave me a heart ache. Then I got used to meeting them. As I install technicpack, I set it to peaceful SO NO CREEPERS CAN DESTROY IT.

My scariest minecraft moment was when I was mining, heard a zombie killed it, went to my crafting table heard a creepy sound effect from the cave and I blew up. Hardcore. D=

I was mining this big open crevice, with all that lava an'all I got jumpy. then suddenly I didn't realize it was night. guess the lava's light carried me away. all the nasty creatures came out to attack me I was like 1 and a half health bar/heart whatever y'all call it. fortunately my stronghold is not far from where I mine. I fight for my life and run like my ass is on fire... got me on edge that time, I thought I wasn't going to make it.

When i was minning and i the time when i was alone thinking herobrine was real XDD now i know he isnt so im not scared of him

and when i was being chased by 3 creepers and zombies so i ran into the ocean and died there i never got my items back. So i Deleted That World.

I was mining an 1x2 tunnel to west. I kept mining and suddenly, I didn't saw the lava at the top of me so I passed to mine. And then.. BOOM!! I was trapped. I Panicked like hell so I mined down 1x1. The Rule "Don't mine downwards 1x1" Popped into my head but.. Hell no, I'm about to get stuck in a lava fall. And so I was far enough to the lava that I made another tunnel to east 1x2 and covered the path. It was dark but I still have my torch... IN THE CHEST THAT WAS COVERED BY LAVA! So I mined stairs to the surface and luckily, found 3 diamond ores. I made it to the top and got saved but I have no Idea where the hell I am, but thank god I have a compass. I sprinted to the way where my house is because it's night time. And I got home safely.
It was scary but it was worth 3 diamonds. AWWW YEAH!

Well Allow me to divulge my brave tale...
Anyway - my friend was all like: "Hey dude try this game" 'n stuff (a long time ago btw) and I was like: "Pfff why not..."
So I entered world - everything looked cool 'n all - I even built a little house :3 but little to my knowledge the difficulty was on hard.... So I was all ballin' 'n stuff - it was starting to become dark and so I went in and started mining inside my house - but Little did minecraft-newbie19231 know - "Digging directly downwards is bad" ... So I plunged into one of those abandoned mineshafts - hit the floor and is now half life - I start to panic because I didn't craft any torches... D: so I immediately brandish my wooden sword of vengeance(pff... More like 'of two sticks and a wooden plank'...) and struck at the dark - but nothing was there! In the near distance I spotted a speck of light! I rushed toward it - then suddenly from the front a little green purveyor-of-tears popped up and exploded in my face. I got such a huge fright, I knee-bashed my entire desk so hard the one leg broke and my pc fell off the desk.
Note to self - digging directly downwards is bad... mkay?

First time playing Minecraft after a long time, I totally forgot almost all the sounds ingame. I created a new jungle world, walking forward, cutting trees, yadda-yadda, then I heard something from the back and I was like "wtf is that?", then suddenly a pig pops out from nowhere in front of me, I jumped like a retard from my desk.

Had a full diamond set with me for mining. I found this strange hole in the ground with water. I didn't look down, so I fell and had 2 hearts. I fell in lava and died.

Was quite new at the game, starting on a random server.
It was at night (real-life time) so the server only got something like 5-10 people, so i decided to mine with one of my friend
My friend have some stuff to do so he said "brb", since i was bored i continued to mine while he went doing his stuff
While mining, i didnt use torches because i know that mob does not spawn near and the mine is not going to be revisited again, so i thought torch is a waste..
long tunnel, i heard zombies from somewhere, it was near but it is behind those thick stones and i dont know where, as a quite newbie (i usually ready wiki so i know the mob-spawning stuff), I am of course got scared, i wanted to go back until i realized that i tunnelled 200+ blocks and mobs started spawning in the dark tunnel, so no going back or die.
Continued tunnelled, suddenly a creeper out of nowhere, BOOM, "oh what the-.. yay i still have a few hearts left", suddenly the most scary ambience sound played.. i didnt know such ambience exist so i said "WTF" in chat, tele to home (i dont like to tele a lot so i didnt tele before), log out and stopped playing for 2 hours because of that scary stuff xD

When I first played Minecraft and rapidly clicked on a log, trying to break it. I thought I'd been cheated of my money! So scary... XD

Im not a normal minecraft player, i played minecraft with mods and in one of the mod called "Oceancraft" which makes the sea more realistic and at that time.....me and 2 of my friends ,
We were harvesting coral because it can be smelted to coral ongot to makr coral items in that mod, we dived deep into the water it was dark so i was just minding my own business in the deep and dark waters.. when suddenly 3 sharks darted out of nowhere and i was like WTF and starting swimming up into land and running like crazy.... it was a terrible experience...

I jumped into the portal and I found myself in a nether cave and the entrance was near. I walked to the entrance to look around and see if there is any Nether Fortress or something. And I heard a lava sound. Looked left and right but there was no lava and when I looked up...
