I think that is a very important subject.I want to know thos who remained addicted to warcraft 3 and the ones who moved on to the next level (WoW). I want your oppinions too and why did you chosed that. Well all we know that WoW and wacraft 3 are totally different even if they began from the little game warcraft,i mean warcraft 3 is rts/rpg and WoW is mmorpg,this is a very difference.I am still addicted to warcraft 3 because is classic and i always liked rts more than mmorpg.

Eh well i played WoW for about a year hard core and then it became so boring i just decided i didnt want to play very much, i play it and Warcraft 3 every once in awhile so Warcraft 3

Well you must decide what game do you support.I would vote both too thats why you have to think wich one you like more.

If I could swing My hammer at someone... Watch them go flying.... Then run over to them, Jump and slam it into their head....

WoW would be my game...

But since I just Run around and jump into people while attacking and making sure I'm facing the right direction... Not as much...

At least WC3 allows me to give the game some tact....
There its all about reaction time and firing speed...
Which is cute and all... but thats all it is....

The Archers don't even have to aim..... :(

Wow, are you insinuating WoW does not take any strategy? Have you ever been in any battle ground? Have you ever raided?

Except modding WoW only allows one person to see the differences or changes, unless you release it to the public to download. People without knowledge of mmowned or any sites won't be able to "enjoy" the modding. Whereas in WC3 maps can be hosted on the BNET regardless or not the other players have it, they just have to join it, and wait for DL (although in Do(rks)TA you'll probably get booted for 'luls dl n00b'). The modding in WC3 also allows a more number of different game-play.

Oh to note, WoW takes very little strategy even in raiding and PvP. You just have to be a -NOT- retard/downy.

WC3 Absolutely. The story is much better. WoW BC just destroyed the whole story of Warcraft. However, I still enjoy raids and fighting with friends on WoW.

As said up top, this really is a pointless thread. Ofc people are going to pick wc3 over WoW on a wc3 site. Thats like going to isreal and asking if people prefer jews over muslims. The best place to get an accurate cross section would be a gaming site with no main game, like the x-fire forums or something.

Something that no one can deny is that wc3's popularity is so long gone that if it weren't because of DotA, the masses wouldn't even hear of wc3. Although, people no longer go to "play Wc3's map DotA", they go to "play DotA".

I have seen some experts at work from videos
they do take into account Ambushing but I didn't see much else...

But the gameplay is mostly Based on Button Pressing and Making Sure your Facing the right direction....

Then theres healing and buffing.... Which just means to me you are teh... ya know.... B-i-sh....

And who wants to do that?... honestly.....

I got bored of it when I had to keep the same level of my friends.. And that I doesn't play the same game all the time, so even when I had time, I could still go and play another.. Like wc3 <3.

Probably WoW for now, i seem to sadly have got bored of wc3 a bit, but yea when you reach highest level in WoW, it'll get a bit boring and wc3 will be back in for me.

WoW= High level ONLY game

I used to be sort of a casual player and you CAN NOT be a casual player in WoW.

I couldn't do pretty much any of the fun activities (raiding, Outland, etc.) because I was lvl 26.

I wasn't about to spend the years it takes to become 70 so I just quit.

Playing about an hour or two a day you can reach 70 in a month and a half. You just suck.

THey should play FPSs if they want a casual game...
No leveling necessary...

But then again... THose can be so frustrating... And you have so much time to stay alive in WoW.....

Any plot with magic fails because they can just shortcut everything DONT WORRY I SAVED HIM USING THE UBER HORN OF ONE THOUSAND SOULS.

Battle.net how ever, is the only real reason i ever even bought Wc3. The actual game, i hate with a passion. Custom games are fun.

Presuming SC2 doesnt need too much of a heavy weight computer, Wc3 will die out fairly quickly (Since its only B.net thats keeping it alive... kind of)

What I'm getting at is you say a lot of things you really can't back up. It's opinion to say the game sucked, and I can't see how SC2's storyline is going to be much better if you kick off about 'DEMONDS INVADING THE EARTH'.

Also, people still play Use Map Settings on Starcraft, so I can't see how WC3 will die out pretty quickly either :p

And thats not even mentioning the DotA fanboys.

Also, many people play WC3 for the Melee, I.E Strategy, aspect. If that wasn't the case then WC3 wouldn't of replaced SC in the ESWC.
