World of Warcraft: Heroes Return is a total conversion Multiplayer Open Role Playing Game (MORPG) that inspired from original World of Warcraft franchise that developed by Blizzard. I'm trying to made the 1st ever WoW total conversion in multiplayer ORPG version (as I haven't seen any). As an ORPG, the project is designed to be played by multiplayer in order to experience a better result playing the game (especially for ORPG fans). My aim on this project is to create a simple yet fancy and fun gameplay with eye catching fantasy-like terrain and effect that able to made the players has a World of Warcraft feeling when playing the game.

There are currently 12 available classes from original World of Warcraft available, 10 playable classes (Orc Warrior (Arms), Human Paladin (Protection), Human Death Knight (Frost), Orc Death Knight (Blood), Night Elf Rogue (Assasination), Orc Hunter (Survival), Night Elf Hunter (Marksmanship), Blood Elf Mage (Fire), Human Mage (Frost) and Draenei Priest (Holy)) and 2 iconic characters from Warcraft III history as a secret characters (Arthas Menethil (Paladin) and Grom Hellscream (Warrior)) which can be played by entering a secret code that you can get as you play the game further.
Character model and abilities concept might be changed anytime as the progress updated.

Instead of medievalist one, I'd go for a fantasy theme kind of terrain for the project. Some cracked area terrain on this project is inspired from World of Warcraft: Cataclysm patch when there's a crack on land filled with magma deep in caused by Deathwing. Here's current screenshots of terrain looks (you can check my album to see the progress of the terrain from the early alpha until it is now).
These terrain design might be change and improved from time to time as the project progressing by.

Each creeps has their own status differently, as well as their own abilities (and at least 1 active ability each, so the battle ain't about only hack and slash!). Creeps type divided into 4: Normal, Dungeon, Elite and Boss.

No RPG would be complete without a dungeon, dungeon enemies drops more valuable items than non-dungeon enemies. You can go further into depth of dungeon by removing invisible pathing blocker by defeating each Bosses.

I'm not thinking about mount system at the moment, but in the future, who knows. hehe
hmmm what do you mean by icons oversized? screenshot perhaps?

Okay, first i want to say i haven't seen a map like this for ages. In fact, never. It has amazing potential to become one of the best, if not the best ORPG. Textures simply amazing aswell as models and bosses. Game mechanics are also pretty decent. Now, my guess is that you prefer bug reports/suggestions rather then flattering(which i am not so got at anyway :croll:) so i'll get straight to it.

Heres list of bugs/suggestions:
-Arthas' ulti sometimes heals for full hp, sometimes works normaly , and sometimes even does damage to Arthas
-You can move items in inventory to other slots and therefore have more then 1 sword/shield/armor
-Honor does not get saved
-Ragnaros sometimes spawn double adds 2nd time (killed like 10 times, happened only once)
-Death knight's heart strike sometimes hit the target behind him
-Players are able to autoattack eachother even with both of them having pvp off
-(this is tested only on fire mage) Mage can stand on max range for spells and cast spells on mobs/bosses and if he doesnt autoattack mob/boss won't even engage

-All pots should have some cooldown at least 30-40 secs cd since ppl can just stack up pots and solo everything, not to mention pvp
-Boss encounters should lock players in a small area/room so they couldnt reset them and bosses should regenerate to 100% if not killed withing the fight (so ppl can't just repeat fight/reset until they kill them since they dont regen)
-Items shouldn't be shareable
-Pots shouldn't be able to get saved (unlimited gold abuse)
-Only 1 load per game should be allowed to each player
-Maybe add spell damage/attack power to items which would determine how strong heroes abilities would be
-Pvp should be mutual - both players should type -pvpon in order to be able to fight eachother
-Mobs in instances shouldn't be skippable and they're too weak and should be in groups of 2-3 mobs, maybe even to be elites
-World bosses(elites) shouldn't be respawnable or at least shouldnt be able to drop tier5/tier6 items
-A saveable bank would come in handy
-Only Warriors/Paladins/Deathknights should be able to use shields
-Arthas and Grom have way to buffed stats and are easily accessible
-Warriors Avatar spell should be removed, 15sec spell immunity is ridiculous (maybe downgrade to max 3-4 secs)
-Aggro should be added, since aslong as you autoattack mob/boss you will hold aggro, the second you cast ANYTHING, your target starts attacking some1 else
-Level requirement should be added to all items according to their tiers/rarity
-Money/Honor shouldnt be sendable
-Map shouldnt be completely revealed
-Pvp shouldn't give expirience since ppl can exploit that


Tested on cEnT4r.iDzU0 (Blood Dk, Arthas) and Bluefrogg (Fire Mage, Grom)

whoa.. thanks for a huge list of report, it'll help me much on improving the project. I'd check them out. btw, blood DK heart strike is also deal damage up to 2 enemies near the primary target in 300 AoE, so it's normal if there's creeps behind you get hit as well as it's splashed from the primary target. Lumber also unsaveable at the moment.

Hello everybody, first I'd like to say that I have reg. just to give this map 5/5, but it seems that I will have to wait for 10 days before I would be able to do sucha thing... :D

I'd like to thank Andreariona for creating so wonderful map for all of us that have been and that will be enjoying in it. That's why I will do my best to help the developers on this project as hard as I can so they would be able to improve it, therefore there are some new bugs that have been discovered while playing.

Anub'arak the Fallen - seems like if you clean up the adds, he appears and start hitting but the problem is that you do not see him ( I was losing the health and I don't see what is hitting me ) when the additional adds were killed.
Naraxis ( mob in Anub's instance ) - he is healing himself to the full health when he cast his spell ( I don't know if he is attend to do so ) but the boss we are killing after cleaning up the trash mobs is not doing it, and he is casting the same spell.
Rogue - Stealt is not breaked when the rogue use Burst of speed ( second skill ) while he is in stealt.
Anub'arak - Leather armor, I don't if that should be like that.. :D
Armor types are not well scaled ( tested on leather / plate armor types ) - the same ammount of damage occurs when the mob hits a player with leather armor type and plate armor type. ( this bug is creating an advantage for agility classes because every 5 agility is providing them 1 armor )
Mana pools for most of the classes ( Warrior, Rogue, Deathknight ) is realy providing them an adventage among the heroes that are based on mana ( e.g. mage, priest )

Cheating:
Cheat engine ( players could use that program to abuse this game and avoid leveling )

hey, I have to say this map is pretty awsome :) keep ut good work

I have one problem, you guys have no problem with Save/Load? Because my pala is not working :/

also maybe for tanks is better to be something usefull than taunt, working for me only in 30-40% situations

and in my mind is one think, why not use stats to improve your skills? For example heals, pala heal is 1 lvl 100, why not use 100+int?

Wow!!! I've never played WoW before!! This map will be my favorite map for all eternity!! By the way, I've unlocked Arthas by typing a code. Thank You for making this map, I had a WONDERFUL time playing it!! Thanks again!!

theres a bug with paladins dmg reducing skill, it never reduces as much as it says :S would be great if you can fix that :D and mages really need a reword at least lower cds and reduce dmg if needed to balance it but an autoatacking mage is pretty boring(and mostly useless) :/

Well, you can't still get quest from Ashbringer and Ice Mage from nerubian kingdom.

Deathwing? Where? Well keep playing but I've never found it.
Deathwing haven't implemented yet. he might be available on the next version.

I've checked paladin damage reduction ability and it worked fine. Also, I have mage ability cooldown reduced on next version, as well as 1 new additional ability which is a spell that deal damage+int with 1 cooldown.

amazing visuals! the models and terrain really create a nice fantasy feeling. almost doesnt look like wc3 :)

I just downloaded this, it's really great. The models are very good looking, it's fun to play. The only thing i disliked was the high-cd and the no-stat scaling skills, but still really nice.

Hhm. This map is not full total copy of WOW world witch all greatests (legendery, epic) NPC and faction leaders?

And what about Thrall, Kel'Thuzad, Kil'jaeden, Kazzak and etc?

I played it on Bnet and got a save code, but was wondering if the game is beatable in single player?

Also can I use my save code even if I am by myself on bnet, or is that considered Single player still?

EDIT:
I would also love to hook up on bnet to play this game if someone has like 1-2 hours to devote playing it.

Having them would be not enough to put in. But Thrall might be there if Orc population city has implemented.

Thanks for the compliments. The game ain't beatable in single player since the map is created for multiplayer purpose. And it isn't, since it still detect as single player. :)

If it isn't at the end of this month, maybe around next month, just finish my side project WoW: Battle of Azeroth so I can back updating this again.
