What type of settings do i need on audacity, so that my wav file works and have a small size?
I used Audacity "Uncompressed Export Format" i tried 4bit IMA, 8bit PCM and 16bit PCM and none of them worked ingame, the unit is just silent. 4bit IMA takes the file size down to below 200kb but it dident work either. Any ideas?

The ingame settings seems to be 352kbit/s , how do i get the same? :p

What im trying to explain is that, i have made my own custom soundset in mp3 format and when i converted it in audacity to wav and imported it to the world editor, the unit that had my soundset was silent. Now, the path was right and the first time i thought that the problem was the size of the wav was too large, for the world editor to play for example:

HeroMountainKingPissed1 138kb (Original)
HeroMountainKingPissed1 976kb (Custom)

But i fixed that easily by changing the preference in audacity to 4bit IMA.
That way my wav file size was about the same as the original.
But the unit with the soundset is still silent ingame and i dont now why.

So i was thinking if someone else that have made a custom soundset before and made it work might want to tell me what settings they used in audacity.

If i open audacity and go to Edit > Preferences > File Formats
and i change Uncompressed Export Format to WAV (Microsoft 16bit PCM)
I then import my mp3 sound file and export it as wav with the new settings.
I open wc3 world editor and use the replace internal option and then i save the map, restart the editor and i test my sound. The sound works and i then set the soundset on a unit and add some enemy units. Then i start my map and i try the sound ingame and the unit is silent when he for example attack. The file size on the 16bit wav file will be around 600kb.

Do not use a .wav file in warcraft 3. The file size is too large. Use .mp3 files please.

If you need unit soundsets, get an .mp3 and rename it to .wav. Yes this actually works. I have done it before and I can prove it if need be.
