Yeah but it also prevents the guy who wants to play new characters but can't get together with friends from getting the various characters. There's quite a few that are SSE or X matches played ONLY. For instance Wolf, I like him waaay more than Fox or Falco, and he's one of my mains. But 450 Brawls? I'll just go find him in SSE... (Actually I'm pretty sure you can get him in Boss Battles by going through with Fox, but to unlock Boss Battles you have to beat SSE I think)

Plus SSE is long trial if you're playing on anything but Easy (and if you don't like how easy it is to collect them, you probably shouldn't play Easy, lol). If they make it difficult and confusing to find characters then the scavenger hunt gets boring and people just log on Gamefaqs with the appeal lost anyway.

If anything I think they should get rid of some of the crappy challenges. Swim distance exceeding 300 ft? Isn't ending up swimming something you avoid? And there's like 2 levels you can even swim anyway unless you wanna find a spot in SSE... Not to mention the Clear X with Y characters, Clear X with Y+10 characters, and Clear X with ALL characters. It just seems kind of redundant to me.

You get wolf by beating SSE then fighting him on the SSE stage called "the Ruins". BTW, he sucks, hes liek fox, but his moves are lower but more powerul, which I don't like.

Not if you're complaining about a specific type of complaint.
Case in point: The above quoted statement.

My favorite characters are Kirby, Link, Captain Falcon, and the Pokemon Trainer.
Few of the new guys appeal to me, though I'm pretty sure I haven't unlocked everybody yet.

I think it's retarded how many characters can be unlocked by the Space Emissary. It's not the scavenger hunt it was anymore :p

Sorry to double post, but all characters are can be unlocked through SSE.

MSBB was commenting on the fact that he didn't like how you can unlock everyone from simply playing SSE.

I know how to get Wolf and I already have him. I was pointing out that the alternative to getting him via the storyline was to play 450 matches of regular Brawl, which sucks. The only other way to get him is to complete Boss battles with Fox, and to unlock Boss Battles you need to beat the SSE anyway.

Wolf sucks because you don't like his style? While he may not be incredibly agile he's by no means slow. Top that off with his power and more importantly, range, and he's a force to be reckoned with.

My biggest problem with Marth, was that when I first started playing the game I was stuck with the wii-mote/nun-chuck combo. Marth's power lays in the fact that you have to hit the enemy with the very edge of your sword. They really only weakened the force in his attacks when he doesn't connect with the tip. Trying to use a situational character while learning a new controller setup doesn't end well.

Metaknight owns! I rock with him, I'm skilled with him, I'm almost impossible when I use metaknight. It's not even fair for the other players that I can use metaknight lol. Metaknight FTW!!! (especially his dark skin) XD

I like how there are more Pokemon (who'd have guessed?)
I also like the different music to choose from
I really don't like Spear Pillar, though

Kirby and wolf are the two I'm good with. Come to think of it, everyone's good with wolf. He's just strong. Link and toon link are pretty nice as well.

I don't really like wolf :p He's prolly my least favorite of the starfox characters. His side-B goes diagonally, which makes it a decent recovery move, but not great for attacking or getting to the other side of a foe, as it leave you open. Also, I don't like how his up-B doesn't emit fire.

I was playing Classic with Dedede and ended up going against Giant Snake. Because of the way his level is I juggled him with his standard A combo hammer spin move (you hold in A he just keeps spinning it). I got him to 999% easy. The funny part was that he didn't die with the first hit, but he bounced between the stages 2 walls 8 times.

To completely change the momentum of this thread, I've only got one blue tile on the challenge wall, and less than 20 (probably less than 15) red tiles. Anyone know how many songs there are, also? My brother and I set up a game to get easy stickers and CDs. My brother got 15 CDs, and I got 11. We only gained 8 new songs at the end (I think 7 because of our number of total songs, but we counted 8). We currently have 257 songs.

The reactor hammer has to charge up first, and all you have to do is dodge it. There's just enough time for people with good reaction speed to pull that off. Or, you could not get close in the first place. Or maybe jump behind him?

Yeah, his headbutts are powerful, and his one fast attack. I'm still rather convinced that otherwise he's hard as hell to use, and as such useless for people who don't know how to use him perfectly.

donut3.5, you can cancel it and move side to side. But yeah, he's sort of useless and pretty situational.

Finally tried this game. It's pretty sweet, except that it balances people out more. I find people who I used to beat are as good as me, and I can take people who used to beat me (in ssbm). Also I don't really like how everyone now falls pretty slow, and how they took old moves that were too good, and made them suck dick.

I don't know if they tried to buff him, but I haven't noticed any significant changes except for his running attack, and his hammer (side special) in mid-air. The hammer does seem buffed, though.

OH THE HORROR! THE GAME IS BALANCED! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!!!
I personally like how Link's Up-B was Damage-neutered (or distance neutered, I don't know which) I really like using Kirby's running/A move, because it does damage, hits hard, and lets him get an item all at once

I hate Dedede.. incredibly slow, and any decent player could just do a swift dodge then own him. Plus his up-B is absolutely useless for recovery, as you can't move side to side.

uhh,, yes... you can move side to side... use up-B then tilt the control stick(or diagonal B) either direction then he will move that way auto and you can still cancel and move around as well.. hes one of my best and is GG!

Link's Up special was definitely distance neutered, which it needed to be. I'm not sure about damage.

It DEFINITELY needed distance neutering, though
Falling slower, by the way, helps rid the world of the noobish Kirby play of sucking them up then jumping off the screen, then using Kirby's good jumping ability to get back on (because the person is a noob and can't jump well and so needs the 5 or so Kirby has)
That is SO annoying, if they can pull it off. I know that any ranged character can avoid it, but still.

What's fun with Kirby is knocking people off the side, and then following them off to make sure they can't make it back.

9 tiles left on the challenge wall. 2000 KOs, 100 hrs, all stickers, 100 Man with all characters, 10 in Cruel Melee, Boss battle with 20, Boss with all, Boss on Very Hard, Boss on Intense. Damn, it's all the tedious ones.

Robotnik_AoStH.PNG

Exclusively confirmed in the upcoming European version.
And we'll get to see a lot of awesome moves, such as the NO, the Epic Seziure and his Final Smash: "PINGAS".

Lol Teh_Ephy, Boss on Intense is what im workin on. Got REAL close wit Marth. and Captain Falcon. I did Very Hard with Marth. Hint: use Parry.

10 in Cruel is easy wit Jiggly puff. watch a vid on it.

i didnt do any of the long stuff yet, but im workin on 100 man melee and the stupid "do with all characters/do with X Characters" crap.

the 100 hours will come soon enough. Invite some friends over and play constantly lol..

I got five in Cruel with Jigglypuff, I'm just having a hard time luring them off. I managed to get a decent amount with Zelda, might have been four. I like the way with Zelda better, but I'd might as well go for it with Jigglypuff. I probably should watch the video. Also, I use Zelda for boss battles, for the 1337 damage with the heel. My usual problems are when I face the bosses I don't do so well against late and one against the other, and then I have trouble with Tabuu's attacks. It's always a different one each battle, but his red rings of death are a frequent cause. Exploding after he teleports away is pretty nasty.

I actually once dodged an attack of his on pure luck. I was already roll dodging and it went straight through me. I thought he had me. Huuuge sigh of relief, and then he killed me like anyways.

Yeah, he usually gets me with that. It's almost easier to dodge the red rings. It also bugs me a lot when he teleports around and leaves fire behind him, because I'm usually after him to connect with Zelda's heel or explosion.

I've managed to get 17 in cruel Brawl with Bowser. I would hold on to the ledge then do a back flip off and do the spin jump back onto the ledge damaging them sometimes.
