About the animals, how about an elephant to temporarily block zombies or even trample on them, but is hard to control? ?I've got a concept for an item system

bow+gun stock=crossbow
trimmed animal hide=sling.
sling+Y shaped stick=slingshot
arrowhead+stick=throwing knife
long stick/long pipe+throwing knife=spear
hammered 4 arrowhead=shuriken
Carved large stone=club
stone+stick=hammer
large stone+long stick=warhammer
carved (material) = (material) crowbar.
arrowheads+yarn=edged whip
carved hammer=axe
etc.
Elephants fail, the fact is that most temperate parst of the world don't support such big creatures as elephants. And elephants is just REALLY random in a zombie map xD

Plus elephants are extremely clumsy in city areas, and they're cowardly, so they'll just get sacred of zombies and ram into something, breaking the neck and dying.
Plus they won't get food from anywhere.

About the brain and blood or whatever, you'll have to put in more effort than just spitting out random cool-sounding names of potential world-ending parasites. Backstory, attributes, etc. Go to the front page and see how I did mine for some ideas.
Not really enough progress to bother with one yet. Silent does all the modelling and such himself, so development is at a snails pace currently. Plus, he has a life that needs living and such, so he cannot devote every waking moment to this map (as much as we want him too).

Exactly what I meant. I think it's safe to assume to can recruit NPCs to come with you, though I imagine they'd be killed off pretty easily (as a rule, NPCs in any game ever are completely retarded).

See, you use your social skills to persuade people join you. it's not deicded how will they help you, but I'm pretty sure they'll help you fighting, maybe help carry stuff.. about more advanced help like farming or cooking it was not discussed...

what about a new virus called ´´Regenbas´´ and the people infected with this virus slowly lose their mind in a extremely painful process leaving them mindless like a normal zombie but they eventually lose their skin and get their muscles thinner and the host can regenerate faster than a reptile to the point of being able to regenerate great part of his body. after the transformation process ends the host begins to sense a great pain when the light of the sun is on his body stopping his regeneration totally and slowing him due to the extreme pain.

friendly fire is allowed, although body parts is only good for dog food, zombie lures and food for ypu self if you go all cannibalistic.

Well I can easily see trough jordon's disguise with my joron-vision, so after few more reports from me I'm pretty sure he'll stop following me and hopefully will even start avoiding me.
Actually, only trollish suggestions are not welcome. Other one, even if they are bad, might have a tinny drop of awesome or creativty that can be extracted and used in combination with other idea. Just if your idea is not sucessful, try to create something new and more practical or creative, not try to edit your idea in some cosmetical way.
Well the only practical use for limbs I can imagine is using them as distraction for zombies, but any kind of meat might be used for that. Of course human or zombie meat could be used to, but then if your cooking skills wouldn't be high enough, you the virus in cells could theoretically not be removed and you could actually get infected from it, while if cooked well there are low or no chances of getting infected. But human or zombie flesh shoul be used only in the most critical moment, because eating eat would decrease psychological health. I mean it's disgusting and every civilized person wouldn't do that.
Oh, now I just finished reading one of Erich Maria Remarque's books abouit people that were in concentration camp (Before that I already read a similar book wrotten by Balys Sruoga, a Lithuanian writer), so those prisioneeers that were weakest scavanged the piles of rubish just to find something eatable, so I tough, why not also give one of skills like survival or whatever a chance or something to be able to find a less disgusting and more nitricious food. I mean farming won't be possible in city, so there should be some other way survival should be used in urban surroundings... also in that book I remember one child who spent most of his life in concentration camp, said something about playing dead. I tough, why not immplement this? I mean this wouldn't really work against zombies (They can sence your fear!) but might worj against people or bears if you'll come up with immplementing bears.
Oh, now about the bears. Of course this sounds like another useless animal suggestion, but in both North Maerican and europe bears to exist, plus they can be just strong "creeps" that would be hostile to both zombies or people, altrough you could like kill them (they cannot be tammed obviously) with a gun and eating the meat and maybe using fur to make a coat or something... oh, and of course bears would be infectable and at late game they could posses a threat to humans living in the forest.

Nah. All infected flesh is toxic. One of the reasons zombies take so long to decompose is that the little bacterias that eat you to help decompose you are repelled by infected flesh, according to the Zombie Survival Guide.

You can, however I don't think we can/should implement this into the game. I'll go into detail on how it could work if we decide to include farming. Besides, cities are only a small part of the map, there's going to be insane amounts of forrests, abandoned farms, etc.

Don't worry, there will be plenty of animals and I'm sure bears will pop up as a rare enemy in the forest. Whether they are infectable or not depends on the virus.
There will be farming as it is one of the most important skills in long term surviving. As i see it, cities has alot of food to start with, but little chance of getting new when all is used and/or rotten. While there is almost no food out side of the city, but great means of creating it through farming or hunting.

Well, when I was writing that text I remembered playing dead works great against bears, so firstly I wrote it for lulz, then I tough bear model already exist in game and there would be no problems with bear coding since they can't be tammed.
by farming I meant growing croops or raising and tamming different animals, these both were already mentioned at the whole begining of existance of this thread.
Well, see, what I meant by searching for eatable in some pile of junk is that people with higher specific skills will be able to find less poisonous food, kinda like that guy from Discovery channel on "Ultimate survival" knew what insects and plants can or can't be eaten. Like higher chemistry allows to find less poisonous food, cooking or whatever skill we have for that increases the chance of finding something more nutritious, and survival increases the overall possibility of finding something.
Well, playing dead works against a great deal of predators. Agrees on about everything

but will still keep bears out, also because they aren't close to big cities naturally.

Nah, I'm sure there will be a multiboard for that... I think...
But it would be nice so that if one of your stats gets too low you would get a notification and maybe some effect or something!
notification will be there, simply because it'll be to frustrating if you have to keep an eye on all of your status bars constantly
