[General] Why does GDD detect unit targeted spells as damage?

    My spells which are based on slow/cripple etc will trigger this event
    • Game - GDD_Event becomes Equal to 0.00

    Why is that?

    When a spell applies a buff effect to target unit, w3 engine make caster unit deal 0 damage to target unit. You can filter out those cases by checking the amount of damage taken, add o condition for damage taken > 0.

    Damage Engine 5.4.2.0 separates those zero-damage events like what you've encountered:

    Game - DamageEvent becomes Equal to 1.00

    ^This event only deploys if there is an actual damage amount.
