Unfortunately, I don't know much about Diablo, except for there being a powerful demon that wants to get something from deep within mount Arriet or something... I only saw the trailer.
 
Starcraft movie would absolutely pwn. I would love to see millions of zerglings being blow to bits by marines in bunkers. And then Infested terrans blow the holy snap outa everything.
 
And then Dark templar would kill Infested Terrans, on and on until someone nukes like 5 times at once (it's so much fun) and then everyone dies, the camera supposedly melts, and the movie (or at least that battle scene) is over
 
Plain battle movies are stupid and pointless. A movie without a plot is like... well a story or a video game without a plot. I don't want to pay 8 bucks to see a bunch of (sarcasm) PvP'ers grind honor when I could just do it myself... I want to see some STORY!
 
Exactly, that's why Starcraft COULD be good if they did it right, but so could most of these
Fight movies are annoying; that was one of the reasons I didn't really like The Forbidden Kingdom, there was a plot, but it was (really) predictable and there was rather a lot of fighting. It was an OK movie, but not in my top ten by any means

I actually WANTED to see the Forbidden Kingdom. Jet Lee (right?) and Jackie Chan?! When I saw the commercial my jaw dropped and I was like "NOWAI" and "WTFHAXORZ" at the same time.

Edit: Halo, they already got samples... Arms Race and some other ones, I think. Pretty sweet.
 
When (or if) they make a Halo movie, I wonder who will play seargant? I'd be happy to see Will Smith play seargant and do what he did in independence day but to a covenant or flood. "Welcome to Earth!" Punch.

I was an OK movie, if you like that kind of thing. I did notice that there was more Jackie Chan/Jet Li in the preview than the main character!
 
I think I saw a LITTLE bit of it once... Something about these insect-like aliens obliderating humans in funny looking spacesuits... yeah.
 
1) Are you daft? The BUGS aren't the horror! The horror of war is the glory, the characters think that they are going to fight a glorious war, and come back to have their lives back to normal. This is obviously not the case. War is not a glorious thing at all, and that's what this movie is trying to demonstrate. Christ.

2) A Halo movie is on hold. It's being directed by Petetr Jackson. Please try and find factual information first before spewing it out of your mouth. It's on hold because PJ is working on another multimedia Halo project that he's hushing all the details about.
 
The Halo movie won't continue where Halo 3 left off, thats for sure. It's probably going to be based off of the first game. And yeah, Starcraft sort of is a Starship Troopers 'clone' just like how Warcraft takes a lot of ideas from Lord of the Rings. Another fine example of blizzard's declining creativity. I still love their games.
 
You can't say that they take it from there without any physical evidence. It's like saying that "the sky is purple" when it's really blue. Someone once made a pretty nonsensical comparison... "Lordaeron Militia-Rohan Milita"... it just doesn't mean anything.

Let's have an epic battle between two, erm, MIGHTY TITANS (yeah, that'll work) who are trying to hit a, um, BALL OF DESTINY past the other to SAVE THE UNIVERSE. Amazingly, the game looks like a gameplay video! Astounding!
But really, plot is essential unless you want some poor spin-off of an OK game. As for Pong's graphics.......

Can you find me a Pong Movie?
Anyway, making up a plot to fit a game like Tetris could be inteesting, but watching a movie with a familiar plot (from a familiar game) is comforting. Take Pokemon for example
 
I personally lost all interest in pokemon. I was only into it when I was young (REALLY young). But I did like the games when I was a little kid. I still have Ruby/Fire Red lying around somewhere...
