D: Found out that our loved god Krijn has been bleeding today: a sharp corner on his tray made cut in his paw and he continued to smear the floor. Bleeding has stopped now and so the cleaning (heh).

We are now in the phase that his blood will be researched for potential chemical warfare. We also put sellorders on eBay of course, it's 1500 Euros per vial.

Prophet of your god Krijn has spoken.

I just posted on many threads but I think my probation period is still on, when will it be over? Also, once again I support Warcraft III and Hive Workshop so today I tried to attract more Battle.Net players to join Hive too.

Well McDonald and other types of fast food are worth at least something if you're in hurry and don't have time or don't know how to make food by yourself. Otherwise, you should allways keep yourself away from fast food...

They power the capitalist engine. The economy is screwed without fast food.

...You do realize that ecological food cost more, correct?

Eh, guys, it isn't the hamburger you get at Burger King or McDonalds in particular that represent a direct threat, it's the French fries. Although it's not good to eat only one type of food, the hamburgers served, at least in Norway, usually are of the same quality as those you would make yourself at home, and are just as healthy as any other food that involves the same meat (as long as it's cooked right) and groceries. The mineral water, French fries and general laziness that comes with people that eat fast food daily is what's hurting them, not the hamburger.

Ecological food costs more, yes, but it's so much better - not only is it mostly healthier, it also has more and better taste. It's worth every bit of the extra few bucks. Before ecological tomatoes, tomatoes tasted more or less like water, ie nothing, now they taste good - the ecological ones, that is.

At some point, governments will learn to appreciate healthier solutions and twist the expenses in such a way that the healthy food becomes cheap. It's not difficult to achieve that, just look at how ridiculously high the prices have become on tobacco in Norway the last few years. I mean, when it's come to the point where it is cheaper to drive over to Sweden to buy tobacco once a week, then that is an actual problem. Though let's not take that debate now, it's just an example of how the government can manipulate the prices. The problem though, is that the government tends to believe in the goodwill of people, and expect them to go for the healthiest or best solution regardless of the price, and thus often increases the taxes on wares that are healthier and/or better. For instance the "biogas" that lately has been hyped up because it's less damaging to our atmosphere when cars run on this instead of petrol - the Norwegian government reacted with increased taxes for the sale of "biogas" resulting in near bankruptcy (I'm not quite up to date on the matter) for the only company in Norway selling "biogas" for cars. Incredible.

Actually its not ecological food that is more expensive, it's non-ecological that is cheaper. Actually it's non-ecological because it was grown with non-ecological but cheaoer methods.

It's cheaper to make non-ecological food because you can spread all kinds of anti-this and anti-that on everything so that most of it survives, while ecological food is without these and therefore there's a much higher risk of tomatoes, for example, dying (which you obviously can't sell).. thus it's because of the risk that the ecological food costs more.

He got a farm where sheep bahhhh, cow moo, chickens cluck, duck quack, birds tweet, dogs bark, cats meows, and mouse squeak.

That's where he gets food, not money. Last time I checked, farmers do not do well economically.

Ummmmm... ok...

1. py, i acually have a job.

2. shiiK tleno cyber. Most governments offer massive subsidies for producing certain kinds of food. especially the us. this makes it rediculously cheap to grow immense amounts of corn, (usually bio-engineered, cancer causing corn, thats also creating a new group of 'superbugs' that are resistant to thousands of chemicals) and this extremely cheap corn, mix with hundreds of other subsidies, makes it so that american feedlot cattle are extremely cheap to raise, slaughter (and immigrant low-wage workers make it cheap to process)
Cows rasied off of this will usually have a very high fat content, and be deficient in most other areas. also, in the processing areas, cow meat is somtimes mixed with processing by-products such as defication, bits of hooves (generally processed for gelatin) and fur.

So not only is the system built to make nutritionally deficient (and less tasty food) terrible for you, it also makes t easy to produce, market, and consume.

Don't get me started on poultry.

-Edit-
I am a farmer. and I am an organic, csa farmer that delivers local food to the New York City. (about 175 miles away) we uses, organic only, sustainable practices.

I baked scones for breakfast and picked fresh snow peas so far today.
