what was the racial resources supposed to be used for?

warcraft 3 have some resource icons called: resourcehuman.blp, resourceorc.blp, resourcenightelf.blp and resourceundead.blp. what was they meant to be used for.

i found them in a file that came with warcraft 3. i believe that i found them in war3.mpq

Make a comparison between the open .blp image and its materialization in-game? They're bound to show up on a unit or something. More than that, I doubt anyone can tell.

based on where they were located, they most likely had something to do with a resource system. though i still ask what.

I searched everywhere and couldn't find those files.

they are in a place called something that have to do with resources. the icon for mana stone is in the same folder. it is inside an mpq file.

Blizzard wanted to have a population/food/supply icon for each race, but they scrapped it in the favour of the 'food' icon. These icons are merely a leftover from early alphas or betas.
