What the hell happened to Warcraft III?

I just got a new pc recently an decided to download all those classic games I love. So I end up trying to download Warcraft III then find all this stuff about reforged replacing the original. And apparently campaigns are no longer supported? I had started a massive custom campaign a year before reforged came out and finally decided to finish now that I have new and functional hardware… only to find out everything’s dead? Like is it even possible to continue my production or has Blizzard finally done it and fully killed the game somehow? Should I look on eBay for an old CD version to buy… like this is messed up.

You can get old versions of Warcraft 3 such as 1.31 to play and edit custom campaigns. The game isn't dead and a lot of people still play it but for Custom Campaigns you'll need an older version.

As far as I know, the non-Reforged version doesn't dead. However, you can only play offline like custom games and campaigns.
