DonDustin: really cool doodad, I like it

Is a bit on the poly-heavy side, but looks nice enough to excuse this. The Wrap on the well itself is probably made with planar mapping, which makes it look a bit stretched around the poles, but not noticeably. In comparison to the contrast on the stone texture, the wood seems flat.
But those are minor issues, overall a nice doodad.

that chain doesn't make sense.. why don'tcha add something you can wind it to? and maybe a rope instead? o3o

Far as I can see, that iron rod you turn with the handle seems more than capable of winding the chain around itself.

That said, I like this model. Though, from a terrainers point of view, I'd say the texture on the roof of the well looks a bit, ahh, blurred? At least not as sharp and nice as the brick texture. I'd like to see that attended to, if anything.

Oh and fuck the polygon haters, we terrainers love them near-to regardless of their count.

Side note: Now having made that chain for this doodad, you should make that sloping and straight chain that I've been bitching you about for so long :p

At start, the texture supposed to be 256x256. It had some space and it was too big. I managed to fit it on 256x256 with no free space left, but destroyed some of it quality. Otherwise the texture would be 100-150 kb. I do know what there is a lot of people who are bitching about size, so I tried to keep file size small.

Fuck size - Work for quality, not quantity.

not when the iron rod is just inserted through a chain link, instead being welded on the side

I am incapable of seeing anything that is not fallible about this statement, the chain is stuck to the rod that can be twisted, hence it will wind around it.
- It's only logical, as per illustrated in my magnificent artwork.

Good god, who's bitching about size, it's only 76 freaking kb!

I think it looks great.

I agree with those above, quality trumps having a teeny weeny file size anytime.
