This is just a wild shot since there is so much strange going on that I just wanna check if someone had a similar experience and found a solution.

Alot of triggers go wild after protecting map and playing in multiplayer. The only locals i use is player specific multiboards.

Well, after some time things go crazy, i have instances stages that stops reseting properly. Effects happens in neutral areas and kills people. Timed effects happens way faster than they should. Fps drops etc.

It would be too much to post everything but yeah, maybe someone has any idea.

I have alot of custom models, can they cause issues like this?

I used w3protect site to protect the map.

Anyway, thanks for any help on this!

Edit: Map usually works fine at first but after playing for a while it starts to bug out.

I know this isn't too helpful, but is protecting a map really even necessary? I think listing it on Hiveworkshop as the original Author and having a Discord for "official releases" is really all you need. So what if some jackass modifies and plays the map on BNET (does that really even happen very often?). Plus people can bypass the protection stuff, so anyone that really wants to open your map can still do it if they're persistent enough.

Also, are you sure it's the protecting causing the issues?

I am not sure its the protection that do it, though when I had more options checked when protecting it got even worse. It does some kind of optimization but that may not be the issue.

Was more wondering if someone recognize that the map just goes bananas after a while and maybe give some tips on what to look for :)

I understand its hard to give advice without being more specific.

But even things that should work, like a missile system having center of region as start and end point can after some time start targeting the hero instead for no reason xD

It is an RPG map and protecting the map is more an extra help to stop cheating, but ofc people who wants to cheat will do it anyway.

I would test an unprotected version of your map and come up with a list of problems that occur. You'll have an easier time figuring out what the map protector is breaking (if it's even breaking anything) once you've sorted out the pre-existing issues.

I can say without a doubt that your map is going to have bugs, it's pretty much inevitable, even the best programmers can't avoid them completely.

Thanks for your tips. Will try and get a group together and test it unprotected, then try and deal with the more crucial issues first 👍
You can always play LAN against yourself if you're struggling to get a group. This prevents the map from being leaked and can help speed up testing since you don't have to explain anything.
