There's no official way to play this game online on legacy builds (ROC or TFT). You are always forced to use the very latest version of the game, which is Reforged build (1.36).
If you decided to stick with the legacy builds and want to play online, you will need to look for third-party platforms, particularly Eurobattle.net. You may also use software that lets users play LAN games online such as GameRanger. Keep in mind that most third-party platforms will obviously require version 1.26 for more stable play.
