Hey kingbdogz... Could you please give us some extra information about the project? Mainly what I'm interested in is who is still with you, who does what(are people like Varine still with you?), what still needs to be done and if you guys are still even working on this? When will we see a new media update? Since I'm not visiting TheHelper at all, it would be great if you guys could at least link to updates on TheHelper if there are any.

Sorry for being inactive on the Hive thread, here is a recent thread I made on Moddb:

"Greetings everyone!

The last couple of weeks have been pretty rough for me since I've been selecting subjects for Year 11. As a result I've had little time to work on the project. So I've only now been able to come back to Moddb.com and check out the mod page. I've came back to some disappointed fans, and as you can see, many people in the comments have complained that the Closed Beta was not release a few days back.

When I created this mod page I was not aware that a TBD option was available, so I just set it to an approximate date that I thought would be the day of the Beta release. If there was a TBD I would gladly add that to stop any possible confusion. We could have easily made the 31st of July the Closed Beta release date, however, a few things have slowed us down. I would first like to tell you what we DO have completed:

- All spells and mechanics for the Scourge race completed.
- All concepts for the Scourge race completed.
- Scourge in-game UI completed.
- Main Menu redesign and background completed.
- Scourge soundtrack and situational music-player completed.
- Initial introduction sequence completed.
- Pre-launched client with integrated MSN and Facebook features.
- Fully functional server and patching/updating service.

Now as you can see we've completed a LOT of features and mechanics already, but there are still a few things we need to do before a beta can be released:

- A lot of Scourge models need to be completed.
- Launch trailer needs to be completed.
- Final Client polishing needs to be completed.
- Heroes need to be polished.

The models are the biggest problem, because without them we cannot create the trailer, and there are quite a lot to finish. Now the problem is that a few weeks ago our main modeller of the team had to go inactive for a while in order to sort out some real life issues, and while it's unfortunate, it's completely understandable. It's not like this is a game we are making where we can simply tell them to do the work or they'll get fired, things happen as everyone also has a real job out there to deal with. Alex is not quite back yet, but I expect he will return soon to continue working. Originally, he was making around two models a day with simple animations completed. He was also working on a really nice and high detailed texture for the structures.

I'm sorry that the beta could not be released on the 31st, but like I said I never intended to actually release it on that day. It was just an internal estimation and we were never going to stay true to unless we absolutely could.

Now for the good news. In a few days I'm going to be wiping the team list and re-recruit all the members and ask them if they are fully committed to helping the project progress. If they can't make that commitment they may very well be let go or occasionally asked to help and get a replacement for them. I can no longer work on this project forever and I really want to get this modification into your hands. I myself have always loved the idea of modification that could improve on the original gameplay but add SO much more, no just in the game itself. I think you'll all love the new main menu that we are currently working on, and much more features will be added as the phases progress.

In future we will be releasing pictures of the main menu, in-game, and even the campaign selector.

After those two releases, we shall be creating a trailer and showing it you all to enjoy. As you could see before we were making HUGE progress with the concept arts and music pieces (I even finalized the logo and made a Beta version in preparation thinking that we could actually make that date), but unfortunately it didn't happen. It's not a bad thing, it just happens sometimes and there's not much I can do about it. If anyone thinks they can help the project in any way, please respond below. But please, don't sign up if you don't have any skills. Making up ideas does not count as a team member position, if you want to make ideas feel free to make them in the comment section, but currently there is no actual position for this and probably never will.

Thanks for the patience, I wish you all a nice week. Hopefully things can get kicked off soon. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Eternal Designs leader,

~ Kingbdogz ~"

Very professional looking mod, I'd put it right up there with the Heart of Storms. I don't know jack shit about the World Editor, but it seems no one really has any intentions to actually finish their damn project. I'm not trying to look like a suck up but I highly anticipate this. Much more promising than the overhyped but no material Fall of Draenor. I don't get why everyone likes it. I've subscribed to it because it seemed interesting, but all I see is flash and no promise.

Thanks for you support, if we could be up there with Heart of Storms I'd be very glad indeed. Time will tell, I guess.

Most people lack motivation and commitment, but don't be fooled, I've nearly cancelled this project on one instance. If it wasn't for my passion for this project, it may have very well died out by now.

I wouldn't say so. Fall of Draenor has proof of in-game progress because of its model previews. We have absolutely none except for a few old Scarlet Crusade previews (which I personally think they look really good. But still, it's no where near as much content as what Fall of Draenor has shown).

From day one of this projects launch, my entire goal for the mod was to make it feel like a professionally-made game, a worthy successor of The Frozen Throne's gameplay, and an appropriate conclusion to the Warcraft universe. While updates are slow, and beta has yet to start (after being delayed many times before), I think we can all agree that what I show you is professionally presented with the utmost care and attention. I don't claim to be perfect, as that is near impossible. But we (the team) do try our best, and that's what, in my opinion, counts the most.

andrewsarch6, what you said is a bit rude, but let me clear it out for you. FoD goes slow and it is just a group of people, working. Edge of Eternity on the other hand, I would call a professional mod.
As Kingbdogz said, they are aiming for creating a company and judging by their humble beginnings, I believe I am experiencing the rise of a great new company that could once very well rival Blizzard.
We simply cannot be compared to them, as they are on a different scale. They are a real company with economic system and professional people.

Kingbdogz really has a talent needed for that, he is a perfect company leader and he knows how to lead and find.

Anyway, it is great to know that Eternal Designs will be a company ^^
I know that you will do the best you can do and with such a leader you are sure to succeed. Good luck!

Sorry about that, I was kind of pissy when I wrote that. There is a difference though like you said between the projects. One is using his as a precursor to his career, while you're just having fun with your pals and and your hobby, I'm not trying to call you a chump or anything though if that's what it sounds like. It's just I've seen so many promising projects fall into oblivion, and I don't want that to happen to these 2 projects. I kind of lied when I said Fall of Draenor doesn't show promise, the whole reason I check it every 2nd day is BECAUSE it shows promise. DUN GIVE UP!!

Once the projects reaches it's excellent stage, I suppose it'd beat the crap out of any other Warcraft III game.

I suppose it's still going on, just that they're a bit too busy to update? I wouldn't wanna see this project dead, if anyone needs any help doing minor Triggering, I'd be glad to help.

Me pro, me only fails at splitting resources from my code -.-' I totally fucked the whole client with no way back.... So, the client is totally redone. With no fancy images, YET. That's a little update from my side.

Kingbdogz really has a talent needed for that, he is a perfect company leader and he knows how to lead and find.

Quite a leader, I hate time-zones... -.-'

These forum has been empty for awhile, is the project still going on or is it dead?
We're still alive... It is that I'm not much of a blogger... Well, I blog a lot, or I blog not... >.<

The client is nearly done; Major update with a normal Windows layout.
Reason: I totally screwed the actual client.

Actually; I'm waiting for KingB to approve the new client.

Hmm, are you guys planning on showing at least a snippet of a single model or something? Have you actually completed any models yet? :p
I think King said that Alex, your new modeler, has almost finished the Undead race, is that true?

As I'm going to make a quick reply on the issue: We're split up in different departments who all depend on each other. Our only source for getting information about the other department is through KindBDogs himself.
As a simple side-note: I heard about a new member, though, not a name.

Why do you guys need a client for a WC3 Mod?

We're using a client of securing our product. Not so much Warcraft III. We will NOT check whether or not your Blizzard Entertainment(R) product is legal. Because you're about to connect to OUR private server for which you don't need a legal key. Though, we do promote legal purchases from Blizzard Entertainment(R)
And, with securing our product we mean, preventing others from using our creations for their own.

I hope that I've informed you enough, feel feel to reply with any form of question or concern.

Glad to see this isnt dead, i recetly read that Fall of Dreaner has fallen........Such a great mod........

Oh, i seem to remember that you guys said that the undead have a diffrent building style then the unded in the original game, true?
And if so, will any other races have a custom build cycle?

Als, is the official project site down right now? for some reason, when i follow the link, it brings me to a wierd filler site.

Hello everyone,

I'm very sorry to tell you that we still have to wait longer for a new client version, because KingB still didn't send me a reply whether or not this version is OK...

I'm not going to be like Toyota... Selling half OK cars... Lol

Also, this version is a lot more boring than the version you have at the moment.

I was told that we'll have a or the domain back by tomorrow. Or, at least, the bill will be paid.

~ This is a reason why you should donate! ;)
