This issue is probably linked to the game version. However, I would say that 1.31 is too bad for custom campaigns because you might encounter the so-called "broken unit event triggers" if you attempt to load your previous saves. Also, if you continue to the next chapters by clicking "OK" during the post-game screen (where you'll see an overall results for units, etc), the game will only displays a blank and annoying black screen, which unfortunately doesn't seem to be fixed until you're truly close the game. I would rather suggest getting the new remake campaign by LordPerenoldeII if you want to enjoy the experience on playing Warcraft II campaigns using Warcraft III engine, but keep in mind that you can only play those campaigns on the older versions (1.28) because 1.31 is prone for same bug.
