As i told TWIF earlier today, i lost the original file for the Banner that i'd been working on.
I got really mad at my computer, and i tried to re-do it as best i could.
Here it is, even though it's not nearly as cool as it was before i lost it. *resists urge to violently tear apart computer*

The pant/Trouser texture is really nice, I love the armour to my only dislike is the hair/mohecan(?). I don't think it fits but otherwise that's amazing, you continue to outdo yourself Taylor! Gj!

The mo-hawk is a 3 part mesh so I can use it to apply an alpha channel for the hair, exactly as on the paint over.

That mohawk DOES look a little out of place. He should really better be bald. Also, he's lacking the iconic horned helmet that followed the Grunt during all the Warcraft games(except for World of Warcraft... grrr...).

I know the typic helmet is missing, although I do not like it, it should be an open question to have one or not..

I'll model one and post the difference, since in WoW ( béta) I guess it looked really stupid imo

I succeeded in importing WoW models from the WMO into SC2 but not in exporting the model from MAX to m3, it always gives me an error

Anyone an idea ?

You've probably already tried this exporter/importer taylor but this is the best exporter i know so far; http://www.sc2mapster.com/assets/m3-export-plugin-3ds-max/
If this doesn't work you can probably search the forums for help.

Ya. using editied wow models would really speed up the process, but dont hang too much hope on them, your artwork is amazing.

If the worst comes to the worst, we could 'phase' them out.
So use WoW models, but replace them 1 by 1.
I'd rather it didn't come to that ofc

A mixture of both of those concepts. We will be introducing both new technology units and revisions, in various shapes and sizes. The main thing is to the greatest possible gameplay experience that we can, while staying true to the wc3 spirit.

and succeeded in importing the new Thrall (as a Shaman) model into SC2 with appropriate animations !!

I have put my findings based on the post into a pdf file which I'll upload later together with the stuff I did to get him in SC2

Ok just finished (well.. failed) my last exam so I'm pretty free now.
My life is kinda fucked up though, so time online is going to drop dramatically - need to get it back on track.
However my work levels should increase!

I finally made some progress

This IS exported from WoW into m3 format and imported into SC2 BUT

The Orc with the axe is altered by importing into 3DSMAX and Exporting from 3DSMAX ( I just love 3DS MAX)

Anyway, this means the next step could be my own model being exported once it is completely textured of course

^ That is wonderful, the next step is to bring in some basic buildings, then to star phasing out the wow models, because, to be honest, they are too over detailed and HQ for sc2. Or atleast retexture them...

No one used them, our host wanted to remove them, we couldn't really argue for an inactive forum, many apologies.

We'll try and reset them up somewhere when our fanbase is big enough to keep it active.

For now just post the plans in this thread (though you should know the first release won't include forsaken)

Sexy Taylor, we can use the exsisting animations for any custom models for now too, and reanimate later if we need to.
