Its amazing, but with no Pandas my interest went into the cutter. LOL...
Well anyway besides that how will the Starcraft II/Warcraft IV campaign play out?

The concept art just made my day.

Hee hee, I guess it was a good decision to buy Starcraft II and keep Warcraft III, considering that they provide all I need to have fun(:

New team? New mod? New mission? I've been that much time far from here? *scared*

We had a bit of a reform, most of the original staff have resigned or gone awol. The direction, design and release plan of the mod changed so drastically we essentially started from scratch and we have new targets and goals in mind and for the first time since it's conception, this mod is making noticeable progress :)

Thanks to the new team!

@Foxy - Thanks for the support :)

A demo is in the works, there's no release date but we'd like to have it before or around Christmas... They'll be something at any rate, even if it's just a video talk/walk through demo as opposed to a playable one (though naturally we're aiming for the latter)!

Stay tuned, like us on facebook, watch us on moddb etc! I can't begin to describe the elation garnered from just one person clicking that subscribe-esque button, it's our primary drive!

If you need any testers or anything I would like sign up for that and tell you what I think about the project demo.

I guess a naked hot chick lying on your bed is not your thing ah ? ah well more for me...
ON: Here's a barracks model I created in max, but I don't really like it. Feel free to use it if you need it, like a camp or something...Just give me some credit. :)

First Scratch Made Building Mesh [Orc Great Hall]

stronghold.jpg

This is very much a work in progress, it needs 'roughening' up and generally made to look a bit more Orcish but we're so proud of Walle/Wormhammer and think he's made one hell of a start!

More meshes (and that demo!) to follow...

I agree with Chucky about the lack in details, overall you nailed a possible form nicely though. I could really imagine additionally tents around the main house to polish this up a lot. Attached shields and axes or other typical orcish things would work wonders.
The roof already looks rather nice, however the texture could have a few more details here and there to add more depth and feel to it.
One other major thing is that those tree stumps are a rather huge aspect of the whole model and are quite prominent. Therefor I think using 8 - 12 slices for those cylinders won't hurt. Especially because it's Starcraft 2 and not Warcraft 3 after all.
It could really enhance the overall look.

Oh, that's gorgeous!
But it definitely needs skulls and spikes everywhere, now. :3

No, if you look at the Great Hall tier 1 it looks much better than Great Hall tier 3.

That is something called Personal Opinion.

Some weapon racks in the empty spaces(to the right of the door), and an orcish skull above the doorway should do it. ^^

Deolrin is a sensible person for the most part, and he knows his buildings. All it needs is a little bling, but the description made it clear it was going to get this, so I have no complaints. Great job. Taylors critique was good too.

The problem with making tents around the main structure is that you'd end up with units being way too big for the actual buildings. Sure, that happens in both of Blizzard's RTSes, but there's a pattern in the building-unit proportion that those tents would destabilize, on top of that general characteristic just being overall unrealistic.

It's a Fantasy game! The entire concept is unrealistic ;D

That's always such a stupid argument. If the concept is already unrealistic it's even more important to make people feel like it is realistic, by making everything in the game as realistic as possible in the fantasy world. Otherwise immersion is impossible, and no immersion equals a bad game. :/
