Waiting some news

This thread is really just a central spot where people can bookmark what leads everywhere else.
There ain't any news about the improvement of the game.
And i somewhat can't enter your Site ATM.

Could be why you ain't getting that much supporters on the HIVE.

You need a copy of StarCraft II. This is so you can use the StarCraft II Editor.

The trigger editor gives you 2 ways to script.
1. Using SC2's GUI system. This is like GUI in WC3 but buffed up unimaginally. You have many different GUI elements at your disposal, not just triggers.
2. Using galaxy script. To enter this you can eithor use a galaxy script field provided by GUI (for mixed script and galaxy script) or by making a custom script object and placing script in there.

Be aware that there is a slight bug with the custom script highlighter. This means it can be slow and show garbage at times but the script still works fine.

Updated the site aesthetic design (home page only) - Let us know what you think! If it's all good I'll update the other pages to adopt the same style, I'll also tidy up the lore, game info and gallery index - Then hopefully before the end of August add some decent wealth of fictional content and gameplay details! :D

Do you need Artist????

We could always use artists! Sorry we've been kind of busy but if you would like to help, you can usually PM me and I'll help ya. Unfortunately Today I'll be gone so you either have to wait for Grey to reply or wait for me to get home. That said if you can't wait to help you can always start on generic or custom concept art (or inspirational art). We use these alot for unit ideas and for promotion on the site.

Thanks for your support!

it's all nice stuff Grey. but please, put more time on the game than on the website, people won't play the website :D
But anyways, the website is incredible.

Will there be only two races at the release? will we fight other races even if their is only two playable races?

^ It's my job, as it stands I'm pretty much just community relations and website design. I don't actually have a lot of skill or time to apply to the editor, though who knows. I may develop or find the above eventually but for now, the reason I update the site a lot is because I do my job on the team =) It's not neglect of the game I promise and I'm glad you like it!

To clarify what I wrote earlier, I meant that people with skill and talent always end up disappearing. You can see from my join date (Jan 2005, even though I used to browse the forums before that) that I've been here for a while, and I've noticed this trend that the most proficient people always end up disappearing. On one hand, it is logical because if they're good they can actually demand money for their services and thus work on a company (of course it'd be respectful if they'd let the teams they're working with know about it). On another hand, it is sad to think that modding in general could have profited from the work of such individuals if they had otherwise stayed.

An efficient development team really depends on everyone getting to know everyone else. Especially with software, it is important you get to know everyone you are working with at a personal level as you will be having to do a lot together. Unless something tragic or unforseeable happens (which we always hope never does), you should never have team members "vanish". Even if they are unable to continue on the project, they should atleast post a reason why. If they do not even post why they can not work on the project, it shows that they have always had little interest/care in the project from when they joined.

This is likly the cause of most projects failing. Most of the development team actually does not care about it.

Hé guys, been gone for a long time, that is because I'm working on a game of my own now, I'm using 3DS MAX, VS2010 and MOGRE3D, this is taking up about all of my free time.

Except of course hanging out with my kids, which have 2 months of holiday now.
I also got a promotion on my job, which is nice, but which also takes up a lot of my time, but for the right price :)

I do game from time to time, but not that much.

I see that I reply on the right time, it's not that I got hired by a company for doing 3D or anything ( too bad really... )

But I'm absolutely keeping my eyes on this project, especially we've made it into the PC Gameplay of June ;)

So keep up the good work, and who knows ...

Cheers guys

alright. will ILLIDAN make his way in your game?
He's my favoryte Hero FAR AWAY from others :D:grin::xxd::ogre_haosis::vw_love:

I can't say a lot at the moment (partly cause we wanna keep stuff secret now for suspense :p and also because we really aren't set in stone yet), but yes, he will eventually make his way into our game.

Good work, what happened to your site for legacy of the damned? Edit NVM I see it now.

We are working on a similar project and can appreciate the work you're putting in.
