Warcraft 3 Card Game v1.9

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Warcraft 3 Card Game v1.9

--Introduction--
This map is a custom card game comparable to YuGiOH and Magic the Gathering.
So if you have never played a custom card game before it can take some time until you understand this map.
I started creating this map at 14th of April 2007. I had the idea while playing Card Shuffle. I played it the days before, after i pushed me to test it, because i always thought card shuffle being a normal card game like poker or a card games mix.
So i wanted to create a custom card game, which is interesting, fast (almost balanced) and having more possibilities and strict rules.

--History--
After having problems in th ebeginning with triggers and stuff and very few poeple playing it, Slin joined the map project in the mid of 2007 and helped alot improving the map.
Meanwhile we started to host a forum with everything about the map, suggestions, ideas, smalltalk, etc. This forumis still available at http://www.createforum.com/wc3cg/

--Rules (before battle)--
(-The rules are very similar to Yu-Gi-Oh, so if you know this game you will have no problems playing it)
-You start the game in a tutorial (except player red), but you can abort it by pressing the question mark button
-In the shopping area you can coose between those 300 different cards, which should be in your deck
-A card deck consists of 40-100 cards, but you can take almost all cards (except one) three times, so you do not need to select 40+ differents cards
-When you have finished to build your deck you can choose one of 19 card masters in the most east part of the shopping area, he is like a hero and can use several abilities quite often, they help to improve your deck, the right card master can change the whole gameplay
(If you have no deck idea you can load one of the premade decks, you can get them in the most west part of the shopping area)

--Rules (while battle)--
-Your resources are changed in this game, gold is changed to "summon" points, they are needed to summon green and red named cards, but i will tell late rmroe about the card types. Lumber ha sbeen changed to "draw" points, they are needed to draw a card, so you exchange it to get a new card/item in your inventory, if it is not full. Food has been exchanged with tribute points, you get tribute points when sacrifying your units with the tribute skill your card master has, it kills the unit instantly and give you 1 tribute point.
-At the beginnign of the battle you sart in one of the corners of the battlefield, you have no summon and drawponts, but you have already 6 cards in your inventory, which have been drawn out of your deck. If you do not like your startign cards you can exchange them in the first 10 seconds with a skill of your cardmaster.
-The battle is played in rts, but you can just control the cards and your cardmaster, this makes it very difficult against good players. The game consists of rounds, every round takes 10 seconds, a timer is shown in the upper right corner.
-Normally units attack once oer round (every 10 seconds) and you get 1 drawpoint and 1 summon point every round.
-Your drawpoints can be saved until you want to use them, but if you saved too much points and have space in your inventory you will be forced to autodraw them. Compared to the draw points, you can not save summon points (except if you have no special item or trap which increases it), so the normal maximum is 1. Tribute point can be saved as well, but it is not wise too save many of them.
-Units have an ATK and a DEF Value, ATK is equal to their attack and DEF are their HP. so if an ATK is higher than the DEF of the unit it attacks, the attacked unit dies. Normally all units regenerate all their HP in 1 round (10 seconds, regenerating 10% HP per second, so they are weakened if you attack with mroe than one unit. Armor just reduces incoming damage like armor in normal wc3.

--Card Types--
-Green: Simple Units or Trap Units, which just need 1 summon point to summon, so you can summon them every round, they are the basics of the whole game. To use this card you just have to use it like a normal item (click it)
-Example: Summon Footman 135 ATK 170 DEF (Defend 60, human +3 armor) just click this card, while havign 1 summon point (gold) to summon him
-Red: Tribute Units, they need 1 summon point and at least 1 tribute point (the exact amount is writtin in card description), you can even summon this ones every round, if you have enough tribute points. The usage is the same like green named cards, just click them.
Example: Summon Mountain King 250 ATK 375 DEF (Bash, human +3 armor), to summon him you need 1 summon point (gold) and 2 tribute points (food) to summon him, the used tribute points are dropped.
-Dark Green: Morphing units: This units improve special units, which are already on the battlefield fighting for you. You use this cards by using the card on the unit you want to morph.
Example: Morph Archer, this exchanges the nightelf archer with the undead dark ranger, giving you a small penalty, but you need no resources to use this card, just click the card and them the archer, which should be morphed into a dark ranger
-Pink: This cards are fusions, they do not need a summon or tribute point like the others, but they need special existing units alive fighting for your side.
Example: Fusion Evil Raider 375 ATK 275 DEF (attacks Twice, Bash, Rusher). This cards need an acolyte and a raider, who fight for you and both units need to be alive, then click on this card to activate it, the fusioned unit will exchange one of the two units.
-Blue: Spellcards, this cards use spells to enhance your gameplay like "Cast Inner Fire" to increase the ATK of one of your units. Some of those cards jsut need to be clicked, others need a target liek inner fire.
Example: Summon Wolves, this card creates on usage 2 wolves with 75 ATK and 165 DEF each, they will last up to 60 seconds until they die. Spellcards have no requirements for usage.
-Purple: This cards are items, they are cards, which need to be hold in inventory to take effect.
Example: Tornado, this item slows all units near your card master by a high amount, when you drop tornado the aura , which slows units is dropped.
-Gold: Gods, yes, this cards summon gods, which give almost an instant win, but they are really difficult to summon. They are like fusions, but the activation is different, you need to type in a specific sentence.
Example: "Uther, Fallen Paladin of the Holy Kingdom" he can be activated when you have a Paladin (which is a tribute card, which needs 3 tributes) and the 3 green named cards footman, knight and sorceress all together living at the same time. Type in: "Uther, protect the kingdom!" and the fusion is activated, a sound will introduce his arrival and he will fight for you and will help you with his abilities.

--Tips--
1. Try to summon units next to each other, so wait until the end of one round, summon the first and summon the second and the beginning the next round
2. Think about good combos and build a nice deck, if you know which deck your opponent uses try to counter it with card being good against it
3. Enhance your units with spells to improve their effectivity
4. Do not give up to early
5. Try lots of different decks, to find the best one
