Gameplay

This project is a fast paced oldschool "standard" RTS modification for Warcraft III The Frozen Throne, that takes place after the 2nd War with the Alliance still fighting the remains of the Orcish Horde. It aims to bring the gameplay of Warcraft2, Starcraft:Broodwar and Armies of Exigo to Warcraft 3.

Iam still searching for testers, terrainers and AI coders/scripters.

There is only an orc AI.
Undead is improved and playable but not finished yet,some spells/abilities are not final and tooltips are missing. Human, Orc and Nightelve are full playable.
Naval battles are available now!

V0.9c is the newest version but the project isnt finished yet
orcs and human are full playable
right now iam working on nightelve

and yes the game is similar to wc2 or starcraft broodwar (with wc3 grafic)

new version uploaded changed it from map to mod.

To install this mod follow these instructions:
1. make a copy of your Warcraft III TFT folder and call it Warcraft 2.5
2. extract the wc25mod.rar to this new folder.3. use regedit.exe, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III and add "Allow Local Files" with the value 1. Or use the Allowlocal.reg in the wc25mod.rar file.
4. Remember that every player needs the mod to play before you start a game.
5. I never had problems with playing on the official servers, but i assume no liability.

Known issues:If you opponent uses the white Teamcolor you should change the opponents color ingame to red, because right now the Minimap color of your own units/buildings is white too.

Changelog is included in the readme.

New version with naval battles and undead playable will be released soon. I also want to create a logo. I started with the Warcraft text but still need a fitting image. Any suggestions/ideas?

Do you mean for a loading screen, TaShadan? If so, I would say that it's far too low of a resolution. Loading screens must be in a resolution of 512x512, and that image will be stretched to fit your screen during loading. What you've got there is 200x150, which will be blurry as all hell in-game, considering that it first must be stretched to 512x512, and then stretched again to fit whatever monitor/resolution size the player is working with.

Fixed the bug with units (for example the troll axethrower) not doing damage on all maps. Just download the fixed map pack.

PS: replay vs 3 orc cpu on Garden of War

Question, will you realease maps for this? Or only as a mod.

It shouldn't be hard to convert from W2.5 map to W3 map.
Just move the Models/Music/Textures/ect. from the Warcraft 2.5 folder into the Warcraft 3 folder (without changing the folder structure) then the map(s).
There might be some overwriting over some default Warcraft 3 files, though.

Fixing that would take lots of time; finding out what Models/Music/Textures/ect. are used in the map then importing them directly into the map. Of course that would require the map not being protected and possibly being unplayable over LAN/Online (due to file size).

Maps won't start as in I click to start the map and it looks as if the map will load, and then I'm right back at the custom map screen.

TODO list for the next release:

-Undead and Nightelve ship icons (UgoUgo is working on the undead ones right now)
-adding AIs for Hu,Ud and Ne
-new stable model (if i cant find one i will stick with the old one)
-installer
-some minor tooltip fixing

Let the ai make stronger units and not only grunts and spearman i even put i on insane and they only spawn the same units
