Hey, Im working on an animation sequence. I have the model fully animated and I want to export the animation to a .gif file. I'd assume the easiest thing to do would be to just capture the screen while the models animation is playing, then go back and edit it afterwards. Does anyone know of some good 'free' programs that will do this? (Preferably virus free)
Edit: It would also be nice if it ran rather light, so as to not disrupt the performance of the 3d models rendering.

I'd use CamStudio to record something as avi and then use VirtualDub to convert it to animation.gif (you can cut out the unneeded frames under "Video - Frame Rate" and convert it to gif with "File - Export - Animated Gif")

(probably there are easier ways e.g. the War3ModelView has an option to save something as a gif animation but I don't know how x)
