unit sound importing issues

world editor keeps saying, "This is not appear to be a valid sound file"

I can't even replace the files that are in .wav format.

Are your imported sounds in the .wav format? I think they should be to work. I had issues myself when converting files in an older version of Audacity to .wav with them not working but updating audacity fixed the issue.
