Story
Background Story
Twelve peaceful years have passed since The Great War ended. The war that lasted centuries but no man could recall the reason of. The age of despair, bloodshed, loss and grief is now past. The new age brought the opportunity for human kingdoms to rise, as humanity has broken free from the grip of the dragons.

This story focuses on Kingdom of Balgaron and three famous Dragon Slayers: Phodom, Fradz and Galeoth. Each of them starts their journey in different places, but they will eventually meet eachother and join forces along the path. Together, the three are forced to go a conflict beyond their imaginations.

Lead them into an epic world, guided by a strong storyline that covers hate, love, war and peace.

The honored Dragon Slayer Phodom gave up his life as a warrior and began a new life with his wife and his children, far away from the capital of Balgaron in the small town called Dalli. All his plans were going smooth and easy until someone steps into his life and changes everything...Fradz is a young energetic Dragon Slayer known for his short temper and bad manners. This silly thief is a very powerful warrior and it is said that he even killed powerful dragons single-handedly. After the war, Fradz went on many journeys, but one day a mysterious voice told him to travel to the famous Dragon Inn to meet someone who was once very close to him. Fradz accepts this new journey, as he knows that he cannot decline it...Galeoth, the son of a legendary Dragon Slayer lived up to his father's name and became one of the leaders of Balgaron. After the war, Galeoth still believed that the war was not yet over. His obsession to find dragons led him towards the Icy Mountains where he is about to uncover a horrible secret that will change the fate of mankind...

All abilities remade and new abilities: Battle Banner, Fiery Ball, Fire Power, Ultimate Sacrifice, Counter Attack, Energy Shield, High Strike, Crystal Plane, Galeoth's Order, Illusion Army, Magic Convert and Magical Fog.
'Critical Chance' attribute added! It starts from 5% and it can be increased various ways.
Now also Strenght increases Critical Damage just like Agility.
Chapter 5 Pumpking Quest's second cinematic updated.
Chapter 7 Epic Boss removed the terrain deforming to decrease lag.
Fixed a lot of bugs you guys mentioned.

Chapter 9 is now available for playing.
Attack and Armor types remade; values are changed and Attack & Armor types are removed. I've made the campaign simpler, easier to learn and more effective this way.
Rebalanced the armor values of all enemy units in all chapters.
Improved chapter 3's ending dialogues (outdated).
Vacuum's area of effect reduced. You cannot grab items from far away anymore.
Background stories and so-called "Books" are completely added to all chapters in this version.
Every single Spell Book spell has been added to the campaign!
Many new items and item changes. For example, superior items, which costs a huge amount of gold, are added to middle chapters; however, they're worth it!
Improved the multiboard a lot. Now it is more informative and better organized.
Combat kings once again rebalanced and changed. The major thing is that now they all cost 2 Honor Points.
Espers improved and made even stronger. Please come and tell me what you think about the Espers now. I've seen that players don't use them and I really want to make them useful.
Many changes to the starting packs! Now they should be balanced, every single one of them!
Stealing improved; now it shows the percentages.
Easter Eggs added; currently just 2 but there will be a total of 12 Easter Eggs. Check them all out!

From this version onwards, a number of items can only be bought once. Choose wisely and try not to lose those items. You cannot buy them again!

Now every fourth ranked synthesis Item will require a Zozi to reduce player from getting too many powerful items at early chapters.
Now each STR gives 20 health instead of 25.
Now each INT gives 10 mana instead of 15.

Black merchant can only be seen between 24:00 to 6:00 o'clock.

Chapter 7 is now opened.
Boss points are now removed from the game. You can still change your Boss points to Honor points by writing this code: "-change".
Remade all item, ability, spell, esper and all other descriptions: they are now shorter and easier to read.
There is only fire, ice, and lightning spells now.
Improved multiboard by a lot, added some new stats to it also.
Added new combat kings and new spells. Combat Kings now only go up to level 5.
Added some more tactical meaning to the battle: some abilities can do or use buffs called Brittle, Stagger, and Bleed. For example some other abilities can use these buffs to deal increased damage.
Now Special abilities will increase by every level instead of every fifth level.
All professionals are now universal.
The Critical Damage bonus starts from 100% instead of 0%. The chance to do a Critical Hit is still 10%.
Once again, more items.
New Spell System: Instead of spell books you can easily use spells from left corner just like potions.
The file size is now bigger because I imported some resources to the campaign. The expected file size in the end will be about 120mb to 140mb. I hope the file size won't be a problem.
New balanced attack and armor types: Sharp, Blunt, Magic, Light, Medium, Heavy, Sturdy and Elemental.
Now some enemies are categorized as Summoned, Undead, Drgon and Monster. Some items and abilities can do extra effects to them.
Now enemies won't do their abilities while stunned.
The campaign is now optimized and protected. All thanks to Shadow Daemon for creating the awesome "campaign optimizator" program".
Fixed some bugs.

Most of the item descriptions are updated.
Some of the items are remade.

i already killed him in Hardcore (lvl 11 currently). But i still dont know how to progress.... im stack in that map. It says i still have 2 quests undiscovered and i dont know how to discover them (if i need to discover them)... :(

very good campaign and great cinematics ^_^ but i have some questions :
1- why leader of death knights cant be killed? XD when his hp reaches 0% he will revive with 200000 hp and starts restoring his hp o_O
2- what happened to that ??? named guy (has archimondes animations and can summon undead wardens )
3- why i die with 3 boss hits in chapter 9 and 10 in childs play mod :D
4- why i cant find many chapters epic bosses? o_O they are very hidden XD
over all thats best rpg campaign :p oh and very good musics ^_^

For those that play it back in summer 2012, does anyone remember playing hardcore mode and took advantage of infinite lives bug on every chapter by fighting epic or elite bosses? Those were the times.

Hello! I started playing this game a little while ago, 1 week or so. I managed to get to chapter 8, until my game shut down, and unfortunately my files got corrupted. I realized that Tera Ring is pretty good to be honest. If used properly, you will almost be unkillable. I managed to get Tera Ring, but then for some reason, it started to act like my Ultimate ability (in this case it was Chaotic Rift). I thought i could play the campaign even though it was messed up, and it turns out i couldn't. I restarted the campaign, and when i stole the Orb from the Dark Wizard (chapter one), it started acting like my Ultimate once again. Some may thing "wow, why wouldn't you want a second ultimate?). I honestly think of it as cheating, and i'd prefer to complete the campaign by actually doing it properly. I did re-download the game, and then it worked. I played a few missions, and when i went to bed, i shut off my computer. When i woke up and started playing the game again, it was messed up again. Now when i play it, it still think it has to mess up. I just can't play like this, it agitates me so freaking much, and i don't want this experience to be ruined by such a faulty little thing. I hope that someone with authority to change the game could fix this bug (if it actually is a bug and not just my Warcraft). I just want to say that everybody who was associated in making this campaign, did a hell of a job. I love this game, and this campaign has made it way better. Though it has its ups and downs (the loading screen), i get anxious to get back to playing when i'm inactive. I don't know who has been associated with this campaign except Aeroblyctos, and i just want to say that you, and everybody else did an amazing job! I look forward to taking this campaign to the next level, and i'll keep on playing either till i've completed it, or when i'm too bad for it. I just wanted to say that everybody did a great job, and i bet lots of people actually loves this campaign.

Even though some people don't, they have their own reasons. Even though this relentless loading screen, i just adore it.

Good job and Kudos to everybody who helped in completing this amazing campaign.

Ok.. so, i play on Hardcore and i m stack in the first map. Do i need to kill the frog in the cave to advance? cause i havent killed him yet. I cant even "give up", it says it requires chapter 4........

Manipulation, you don't need to complete any optional quests. All you need to complete is: get 250 gold, travel back to Birgitta, Save Dart, Kill the Shadow thing that Xada summons, and finally travel down to the southeast corner and walk out of the map.


Though you probably already progressed, just wanted to mention.

The optional quests does help a lot though. The Demon Fishtern drops Tzitzorin (not sure how it spells), if you are in desperate need of damage (which you shouldn't be), keep it and use it. But it's better to sell it, as it does give 540 gold, which is quite a bit in the early stages of the game. You can get the Tzitzorin at Chapter Seven, from the auction house for about 1000 gold i think. It is way better to sell it for either Zocmo's Gauntlets, and Azeurus Ring.

Not sure what the name is of these items, but i think you ought to understand.

I'm pretty sure that someone mentioned it on the first pages, but pretty much all the Zozi (synthesis) items suck.

From my perspective, the only ones that's worth getting is, Ice Crown, Tera Ring, Shadow Armor, and Life's Stone (only if you're in desperate need of health/mana or both).

Tera Ring lets you survive longer, Ice crown is a very good item for Galeoth, Shadow Armor is an upgrade from Thief's Set, and Life's Stone is just if your heroes are too squishy and need health or mana (spells), to keep them alive.

I am playing extreme mode now and found that yurgimar is nearly impossible to kill in First stage. His HP always becomes full (i think it is because bone regeneration) whenever he flies to summon either stick of doom or some skeleton. I need to destroy skeleton or stick of doom in order to have yurgimar back to the ground, but It takes sometime and yurgimar's HP is full again in process. Can somebody give me a hint how to defeat him, at least at the first stage?

Hi, the best possible advice is to boost your characters the max that you can. You have to use the items that allow your heroes to overcome the experience threshold of the map (i think that the maximum
achievable experience level in chapter 9 is 90, so if your heroes use items to get to level 105, for instance, Yurgimar's quest will be a lot easier). Items such as the Mega Ring are extremely useful for that. Also you have to think carefully about your heroes' equipment.

Ah... the feasibility of the quest depends on your heroes' builds, too... If you have chosen the wrong spells, there is nothing that you can do, unfortunately :/ (i.e. you have to restart the campaign)

I'm telling you that because to defeat Yurgimar on the first stage, you have to damage him very quickly....

Hi, see my last comment (it is the general principle on which is based the success all along the campaign, actually). Plus, in your case, your heroes should be equipped with items that increase their magic resistance. Try also to increase the attack damage of both Galeoth and Fradz, and the magic damage of Phodom.

When you see that the obelisk begins to emanate its violet rays (or as soon as you are pulled near it), just run away from it and try to attack it from a distance (with spells and Galeoth). Never let pass too much time between the attacks.

Forget the obelisk's armor, it will always be extremely high...

When I defeated the epic boss in chapter 3 (first chapter with galeoth), then in the cutscene that started, he started to cast his splash spell and killed me (in the cutscene), then the game said game over and I must restart it, but after restart it happened again, it seems I must restart the whole mission. Can someone help me please? I do not want to play it once again.

I mean that you probably saved just before the end of the battle, at a moment when your hero was very low in hit points... the fact that enemies cast spells during cinematics can always happen (I guess that this is not completely avoidable by the programming)... otherwise I, personally, can't help you either beause I've never encountered such a problem before...

PS the game said "game over" because either you had 0 lives, or you were playing in hardcore difficulty.

Oh, now I see. However I know, that it said game over because I had 0 lives, but the thing was that it has happened during cinematic and I could not do anything abou that. (Even if I have slayed the boss I have lost)

skip the cutscene, that gets rid of the problem

phodom abilities headbutt and colossal slam doesn´t raise up damage with levels and pick impact flare with colosal slam Level up impac flare raise the damage to colossal slam. This supose to be right?

If I remember correctly you have to kill the golems first, afterwards there´ll spawn abomimations at their location. They drop the notes randomly.

The entrance to Mother is bugged, you have to pick the right entrance 5 times, not 4. The combination is L-R-L-L-L

The Elite Boss is unlocked when you open the box in the south western area. I dont have the right combination but if you go back to the merchant area there will be a cutscence with some hints.

To complete the Ilbot quest you have to protect him during the fight, if he dies the quest fails. Afterwards he teleports to some random areas and you have to find him 3 or 4 times until he teleports into the base.

The Black Merchant is bugged somehow, you can find him in the merchant area aswell when you stand close to the southwest wall.

BTW, zylcios fight is retarded.
It is impossible due to green ground, you just cant kill him before it covers all the ground.
18k dmg galeon + poison sting used. 2 mana rods + 18k mana torment.

i was able to defeat him on extreme difficulty, and the hardest part about the fight was the ridiculous amount of LAG you get at the last fase (uunmut and DK fight suffer from this aswell), i had to be pausing the game constatly just to see what i was doing because the game would freeze for like 10 seconds too often to do anything, but with a lot of pacience i was able to still manage to control my characters and kill him.

this hopefully shouldn't be a problem if you have a decent PC.

killing him is just a big DPS check for ALL your characters, all of them need to be properly equipped, and with that i mean all the best items you get up to that point, i don't renember every detail but in my savegame by the point i was ready to fight zylcius, phodom had ground zero do 50k+ damage plus the burn that would double that for a total of 100k a cast, and he was the tank of my party (greatess magic balls are OP), galeoth was unkillable because of the omega set and fradz as well coz of oliervert (item you get from chapter 9 lucky box)+ a shitton of life (i got that much life on fradz by always giving the adenaj bonus to him, that plus the francisca bonus for the extra stats) gives you some ridiculous insane regen wich will neutralize all but the biggest of burst dmg or bs insta kills like the numbers thingy zylcius does from time to time, phodom had insane regen as well coz i stacked the effect of the life earring item you can buy in chapter 7 ownards on him during the rest of the campaing and his set plus some other items i had on him also increased his life regen, also stack mana earring effect on fradz since he's gonna need the mana regen,these stats are useless on galeoth because once he gets the omega set + his complete set as long as you have enough mana he should never die as his mana will never deplete and the mana shield from his set will keep him protected ( this is why the 5k mana bonus from ice crystal is a must, its effect is also good for those very, very few attacks that go trought mana shield)

chapter 10 has some items that will really help you in order to kill zlycius, with 30 luck you'll get an very good sword from the chapter lucky chest that synergyses very well with olievert life regen combo i had going on fradz, but then keep in mind that my fradz was meele focused instead of magic based, wich i think it was honestly the best way to play him as you can easily get the enemy armor to - territory and all your attacks will do full damage + a bit of a bonus depending on how much negative armor the enemy has, from what i renember all - to enemy armor skill stack on target, so you can save your faerga esper for zylius last fase, use him until his - armor debuff reach the maximun, then start stacking the scissor stab debuff on him and then either meltdown from phodom or frozen fangs from galeoth will get rid of the last chunk of armor ( the first 2 ones are permanent, the rest you are gonna have to re-apply), also i had frozen paradise as galeoth ult and that doubles auto attack dmg as well, so you can combo with all of the above + teleport strike on fradz for some insane burst dmg if you are properly geared

another one is a sphere you get from completing the library puzzle, it gives + 100% to magic dmg so its a no brainer for galeoth or phodom depending on how you made them (in the walktrought i beat zlycius on both had 1 greatess magic ball each so their dmg was pretty on par)

combat kings, mostly resurrection, magic damage, and magic resistance on all characters are a must at this point, force blow on my auto attk fradz made him do dmg burst of about 60k + when using flash stike or teleport strike, there's a bug that makes force blow not work on galeoth so keep that in mind

mana rods work best for whoever has the highest attk speed (i used them on fradz) and it is the only realiable way to destroy his mana because on extreme diff he has so much mana that magic torment or other sources of mana burn basically won't scrach his mana pool, all you need to make sure is to have SEVERAL mana rods on your stashes because the dragon can steal them and if you don't have a replacement you won't be able to win

don't forget to do the elite quest first (getting the armor will help the most) and use a tera ring to get over the 100 lvl cap of chapter 10, each level after 100 gives exactly 1 skill point per level instead of 1 skill point per 2 leves like before, so you can almost max your abilitys

also very important is to upgrade galeoth spell book ability "Impale" with the colosal damage upgrade, as it will do a % dmg based on the targets health, and since zylcius a a LOT of health on his last fase it will help a lot when you can't get enough damage in because he has stole most of your items ( again, make sure you have all items in your stashes prepared so you can switch them as soon as the dragon steals one of your char items) just make sure to use it as soon as it is off CC as the dmg will not vary since its based on his max health and not his current health

the staff he gives you for defeating him will make the xvareon fight easier but that fight isn't really a problem to begin with, asides from the lore bits you get after defeating him (like with yurgimar) there's really no reason to do the fight at all, and as you can see from the rest of my post, this fight requieres you to know the game in and out and have done some previous walktroughts to know where all the good items are/how to get them and have a LOT of resources at your disposal for Combat kings and the items you must buy trought the game ( completing the omega armor alone will cost you about 100k gold) so unless you really want to, skip the fight until you know the campaing better, the bonus from completing the campaing on previous difficultys will help too

I can't beat the Obelisk boss on Chapter 9, no matter how aggressive I fight it with the best items I currently have and I'm playing on Normal. It's too bulky and I can just get around 1000-8000 damage, then it's back at 798,000 in a few seconds. I had to skip some quests on the last few chapters due to too much terrible freezing were my heroes were getting killed 1-2 times in a row and I'm unable to do anything about it.

Estimate states on my progress:
  • Playing on Normal.
  • Too many dig sites are too deep to dig. Even before and after I got all the spades on Chapter 7 with Master Training. I didn't know what the dig sites looked like till chapter 2-3.
  • I've explored the entire map on each chapter, which took a day or 2 roughly, killing every enemy and keeping the best items I find and selling anything close to junk when my boxes are near full. Also, trying to do every possible quest I could do.
  • I've killed probably every mini boss I've found. Some elite bosses I had to skip due to being too powerful or over healing. Some skipped due to lag or finding it too hard keeping all 3 heroes alive. Ice Esper helped with some.
  • I got the ice Esper but I had to skip the Lightning one due too much freezing. I'm guessing there's a fire Esper on Chapter 6 were the runes are on the lava but I don't know how to call it to challenge it, if it's there. Even with 100+ mysterious hearts stacked from the re-spawning lava monsters.
  • I've been to all the shops. I struggle to synthesis anything at all except combine the items I already had.
  • I've been using those items that perm increase states a bit per chapter.
  • I never use steal in games. I'm guessing a lot of powerful items were missed due this.
Review:
  • Best campaign I've played.
  • The freeze spikes start occurring on Chapter 6 a bit with the hallway giant mini bosses. Then there's a lot on Chapter 7 that ruins the chapter near completely after doing the mini car game, although Chapter 7 plays smoothly during the cinematics oddly. I believe there was some freeze spikes on Chapter 8 too.
  • The main characters are quite brilliant to match even Square Enix ones. I love Fradz humour scenes.
  • Beautiful terrain work. I doubt I could match your skill.
  • I recognise many of the Final Fantasy tracks.

    • Kuja's Theme - FF9
    • Lindblum - FF9
    • Mountain Path - FF9
    • Arcadia Cave - FF12
    • Necropolis - FF12

I just don't feel like having to click Give Up adding a Give Up+1 to my states and only passing on my Gold and Honer right before reaching the final chapter. I don't think the Merchant on Fradz side of the cave has anything helpful even when I have 10,000 Gold.

hello guys,

i need help how to beat chapter 10 end boss(Xvareon)
im at the final phase where xvareon uses a global? skill which all my heroes die instantly...im playing on normal difficulty but this is the first main boss that im having trouble with


and also how can i beat chapter 9 epic boss(Yurgimar) i skipped him coz he always regenerates health and wasting my life points

I hadn't reached chapter 10 due to stuck on 9. But I imagine equipping the heroes with a resurrect item each and buying a resurrect ability each with honer points should allow you to survive easier. Plenty of lives with remaining honer may help also.

Just gonna ask a quick queston.Does the item which stops enemies from regening hp and mana stop level 10 epic boss from regaining mana when he summons those elementals?Because if it doesn't there is no way to beat him,I mean come on he uses that spell once every minute and thats ok,but as soon as he gets even that little bit of mana back he has like a 50k hp regen per second and till I burn it down in a couple of seconds he will be back to full.

Focus on increasing Phodom's strength. If you have the ring that boost a wielder's strength 6 times per chapter. That will help. I don't know if item strength temporary boost adds are counted though. Try giving him the strongest strength items, level up high as possible and then try move away from the sword, then walk back to trigger the scene.

it doesn't work afaik

stun the eles as soon as they spawn with Phodom Volcano's spellbook ability or something that works similarly like that, then just DPS them down before the stun expires, also don't forget to always have at least 1 mana rod equiped at all times so even if the boss gets some mana back you can start burning it

you can also use phodom chaotic rift as it disables their abilitys, just be careful to not hit the dragon as he will run away from your attacks since he can't retaliate and if there's a lot of green ground he'll end up going right on top of it and start healing, i only used volcano upgraded with the increase stun/dmg duration and it was more than enough

however when the dragon dissapears and he start summoning infernals you should definetly use chaotic rift there

Hello. I have a problem. I am in Chapter 5, I want to create a Greater Magic Ball for the teleporters and I simply can't. I gathered all the items: Saphire, 12 Lesser Magic Balls and the script. It will simply not create it. What do I do wrong? Do I need to unstack the lesser magic balls into smaller stacks ( I only need 5 for the Greater Magic Ball ) ? If so, how do I do that?

unfortunatly afaik the un-stacking feature ain't working, so those 12 lesser magic balls are of no use for crafting, you need the exact amount of stacks in order to craft anything, the best way to do this is to save each stackable item in differents chest and whenever you need to craft you pick them up until you have the desired amount of stacks

It seems like a really good campaign! My problem is though that when I start the 1st chapter in the cinematic I can't see my character when he puts his armor on and after that the map shows normally but I don't have my hero. I watched a little of the gameplay for this game so I know that I also don't have a character icon in top left corner. I really don't know what to do. Can someone help me?

Also I am very sorry if there are any "mistakes" in the text because English isn't my native language.

That's odd. I didn't start having bugs till later chapters. You could try skipping the scene with ESC if it's possible.

If it doesn't work. You could try running the prologue chapter were you can choose what abilities to have and restart chapter one. Hopefully it will had fixed it.

Nothing works. Well too bad it seems that this campaign just isn't for me.


EDIT: Well then it seems that I am just stupid. I tried running the game as admin and guess what? Game is working fine. Thanks for all the help.
