----------------------------------------------
Blood Raven - Mechanical Eredar

Shading: Overall shading is there and at a respectable level, but the tonal difference between the lights and darks of the metallic portions don't seem to be quite the level they should for a solid metallic look, and make this skin appear more like it's made of plastic.

20/30

Concept: Mostly this is still an Erader, with a super-generic metallic alien look to it. Reminds me a lot of single-colored plastic toys. It is still also easily recognizable as the Erader warlock. You've added just enough details to make this start looking like something new.

20/40

Details: The shape of the details and the contour lines used on this are pretty well done and well defined, the major thing this skin lacks in detail is color variation. Baring a few differently toned pieces on the sides of the torso most of the gray even looks to be the same color, it would be nice if their were dark gray portions mixed in with light gray or some-such. The eyes look a little vacant as well, being just one solid color. Splashing some low-opacity red around the eyes could make them seem like they are glowing, and adding a slight shift in the tones to the center of the eyes in brightness could help out as well. Overall each individual bit of this skin is done pretty well all things considered, it's just when placed together a lot of that is lost with a monochromatic color scheme.

25/30

---------------------------------------------------
Ganondorf - Rock Elder

Shading: All of the gray scale portions of this are shaded pretty well, while a lot of the florescent highlights are shaded/highlighted in a sub-par fashion were they count, in several cases being just one uniform tone. The highlights from eye-glow, light from the lanterns, and the runes on the torso and legs are done rather well though, and the tonal range throughout the skin is pretty good.

25/30

Concept: Mostly this is still an Ancient of lore with a de-saturation change. It has enough details to not look exactly as such, but still. This is basically a golem that was turned into a golem.

15/40

Details: The hair is still the same color as the rock, and largely the same tone. The Face doesn't scream out rock as much as it should, especially considering how important the unit portrait is when skins are implemented in-game. The details on the torso and legs are pretty well done, but every-ware they will be visible in game this seems sort of bland, a lot of the upturned roots on the back look in need of more attention with their one-tone coloration and the face and hair and rather bland as well, and with similar coloration sort of blend together. The upper portion of the staff looks pretty bad as well, sticking with the rune-band look on the torso would probably serve this skin better. The overall monochromatic feel this has could stand to be spiced up by one other color as well, even changing the face to be noticeably lighter than the hair could make this skin seem more interesting.

22/30
---------------------------------------------------

sPy - Feltoise

Shading: Shading is a little messy, that sort of comes with the territory of doing things like lava cracks though. Overall the rocks could stand to be much darker to emphasis the cracks are illuminated, from the in-game view and even portrait everything sort of blends together.

15/30

Concept: A turtle with a lava-texture applied. Ok, so the Lava's green, but this falls pretty squarely in the take random unit X and apply generic inorganic texture Y to it.

12/40

Details: The lava cracks could stand to look more like actual cracks in the rock-portions rather than having the rock bubble out like miniature islands with smooth edges. The intricate pattern on the shell looks relatively well done and gives a more translucent, glass-like feel that makes this skin look rather unique. The shell is easily visible from the in-game view as well, so good stuff there. Would be nice if a more creative approach was taken to the rest of the turtle, such as making the portions of his skin right next to the shell appear hotter and his extremities appear as though they are cooling off.

15/30
---------------------------------------------------

Waveseeker - chiken

Shading: Their isn't much shading at all on this, giving it an overall flat and paper-like quality. The only shading is sort of rounding-out the metal plates in a way metal doesn't really fold, usually sheets of metal are kept as sheets of metal, and welding them together doesn't cause them to bend inward all around their seems. Shading is in this to some extent, but not nearly enough.

6/30

Concept: A mechanical chicken. Taking the initiative to change the tail to a wind-up and toy like portion was a good move, and helps this look more like a different unit. The whole toy-theme is actually pulled off reasonably well with this skin, and the concept is a little better than just applying an inorganic texture. But without some solid details and shading, not by much.

15/40

Details: Not much here. Beyond the before mentioned tail everything is either horrendously plain or a re-color of the existing skin. The detail work on this could use substantial improvement.

5/30
---------------------------------------------

M0rbid - Fire Golem Rider

Shading: The good usage of color sort of masks this a little, but overall this skin is about half as shaded as it should be, the tonal range between the highlights and shadows is not as wide as it should be. The only sections of the skin that seem to be close are the scrolls and the beard, the rest could overall use more intense shadows.

15/30

Concept: Sort of the apply random inorganic surface to a unit theme. The scrolls make this a little more interesting and unique though, and there is a certain strengthened sense of this representing a golem with the heavy magic representations used in the design. I like the scrolls and don't like them at the same time, they seem rather unique but also highly impractical. Some sort of saddle would be nice on this to, riding bareback on an infernal horse just has uncomfortable written all over it.

28/40

Details: The details on the rider are relatively well done, the runes on the scrolls are done rather well. The rider's face is lacking in facing details and could stand more attention there, and the actual golem portion of this, the horse, seems rather blurry and not very detailed, and could stand to be more refined.

18/30

-----------------------------

Ampharos 222 - Renocraft

Shading: Very solid shading on this, all the rivets and details look convincingly 3D and to be protruding from their 2D surfaces. The use of shading and highlights gives a very solid metallic feel to this as well, and the different level of shading and highlights used on different colored materials makes this look all the more realistic. Very solid shading job here.

30/30

Concept: This is still easily recognizable as an arachnithid, but the overall features and details applied to the skin make this look a lot more involved than applying a random inorganic material to the model, the joints and armor on this are really well done. The eyes could have stood to be positioned a little differently though, the face still looks very similar.

32/40

Details: Pretty solid for WC3, anything more and you'd be running into problems. The attention to places that will hardly be noticeable in-game, such as the underside of this skin, are even done rather well.

30/30

----------------------------

shiik - Mountain Legend

Shading: Overall a really solid job. A few places such as the top of the neck could probably use a little more highlights, and some parts of the legs seem a little dark. Overall a generally well-done and convincing job with the shading.

27/30

Concept: This is still easily recognizable as the tauren chieftain, though it's a rather solid statue-esque transition. This looks more like a golem then a random material, so kudos for that. It would be nice if the face, hoofs, totems, or really any part of the anatomy was twisted into something new with this though, with all the unusual shapes something more unique could have been done.

32/40

Details: This is covered with a lot of very nice detail work, especially considering the wrapping job. Overall highly detailed, and all the little details really work well. The blood stains look very much like blood, the grasses and moss looks very much like moss, the stone is unmistakably stone.
