A campaign without any cinematic does not look too good in my opinion so you should think about that. Also a storyline via cinematic & the quest menu is essential otherwise it will remain unpolished.
There is some description at the start menu. We decided to not do cinematics, there are still plenty of games out there which don't feature cinematics and imo: no cinematic > non-skippable cinematics

goldmines are vulnerable because then the workers would be safe there so after you get them in, you can peacefully mine gold, which it's no fun and imba.

You are making a different type of campaign but you will need to polish it properly. Adding more description to the quests should be a priority. Also cinematic can help & proper storyline is also needed.

if the members of the group stray too far, they are forced to follow the commander. That distance can be modified with follow distance. Formation and stuff will not be implemented, mainly due to warcraft crappy pathing.
