OOC:
How did fifteen pages spring up literally overnight? I just woke up, but I'll jump right in. Where three hundred aliens failed, five shall succeed!
Keerar was woken up by his tongue. It was hanging out of his mouth and lying on the bed next to him. It was protesting violently, and with a grimace Keerar pulled it in.
Sensing that he had woken up, the cyrosleep bed opened up.
Climbing up out of the bed, he yawned, stretching his tired muscles. When he saw the readout on the cyrobed's information panel, however, he started cursing. He had been asleep for two weeks.
Damn, damn, damn, he cursed, as he woke up the other members of his team. Keerar had set the alarm for two days, but of course had forgot to actually turn it on. Two weeks could mean the difference between being the hero that destroyed humanity and just another grunt in the war. Knowing this, he bullied his sleep-fogged underlings into action.
"Get up, lazy worms!" he growled, knocking the legs out from his newest recruit.
"We're two weeks behind schedule, so we need to go fast!"
The four other Aliens who made up Keerar's squad were soon up and awake. After quickly getting a bite to eat, rushed by Keerar, the group went to the hangar to fly down to Terraneos.
They quickly boarded a shuttle and flew down to the planet's surface. Their target was a human caravan that was carrying supplies through the desert. They had already destroyed a sizable attack force, but Keerar was confident that his group could handle it.
His group exited the shuttle less than a mile west of the caravan.
"The humans have powerful weapons to defend their goods, so we will be doing hit-and-runs the whole time," he told his group. "When I say run, you run, or you can get roasted by the humans."
With those words, Keerar and his soldiers sprinted over the dunes towards the caravan.
