EDIT: I think I'll go without the StormSphere. It makes my life a lot easier as I've already got a nice sky for my sunset scenery.

Pff.. If I can't get myself to do anything with it, this'll be the final one in that case. I'm not happy with it though, so emppppty. I take that back, this won't be a final one. The explosions are messed up.

The tower texture is too stretch, and just like what you said, the explosion is a crap. Add something on the bottom rock, if the tower is not that high, you can add some buildings or some grounds(hills,mountains) or maybe a sea with some islands.

EDIT: I've decided to give the stormsphere another chance. I have to say, It looks a lot better and more relevant to the ref. pic.

Looks good, but that shiny balls beside the castle looks weird since the clouds are dark. So if that balls is the sun(which is really look like), then you should remove it. Else looks good to me, I love the simplicity.

You could have used the high res pack from wc3c which contains much better textures/models for castles.

I'm getting tired of this, try to give improvement thing from yours, y'know why don't you actually point out the things that need improvements, and can you even use the net? try to look for it, if we can get them, why you can right?

I'd say that even though it looks empty without the moon, it does look better. As atleast to me the moon looks a bit.. Off.
Though the moon ofcourse is a important part of the picture..

It's actually rather complicated, hard to say.

The model of the moon is iffy.
If you can render yourself a smooth sphere and put on the simple moon texture and voila.

Or simply use Glow models to make a moon ? If the lighting is right, it should also work with sun flares.

i don't want to use glow models to make the moon because it would make it look more like a very bright white star and not like a moon
