Pros and Cons

What is Teldrassil?

Teldrassil is a unique MPQ mod that allows more realistic battle terms for Wc3. Replacing the normal MPQ (I would recomend copying all the original Mpqs so you can load between TFT and other mods) with a custom MPQ, modded for quick settings. It allows the use of four new races that are playable, and modable, so if you can edit the existing races for new mods, which can be compatible for any TFT game. With three gametypes and a campaign for each of the eight races, it will constantly continue, so one would take a while to beat it.

Along with the new races, namely the Naga, Pandarens, Goblins, and Blood Elves, the MPQ offers a new type of gameplay, focusing on outposts. Outposts are a gateway for sucess: buildings that allow you to research and upgrade new and better units, weapons, etc. Each outpost can be controlled by any player, or just claimed by no one, and can be captured by other players. When you lose an outpost, the gains that it gave you would be taken away, not to mention a giant spike of prices in whatever area the outpost was in, simulating an economic fall.

The three new game types will also focus on the outposts, whether keeping only one to win or to capture all the opponents, the Deathmatch, Survival, and King of the Hill games will certainly be of interest.

In a deathmatch, players are provided with a plenty ammount of outposts and resources, driven with the goal to defeat their enemies and to control all the outposts, designed for a large scale invasion, getting the most realistic battle scenarios you can find.

In a Survival game, players must find and capture their own outposts, and build their nations around it, before going head to head in a clash, trying to destroy each other and capture outposts for themselves.

And lastly, King of the Hill, while having multiple outpots, there is one big fat fortress in the middle of the map, where a cluster of outposts lie. These outposts must be controlled by one player for 20:00 (it can be through multiple times. Ie: They have it for 2 minutes, loose it, then have it for 18 and win.)

Pros and Cons

  • Allows more races and more possibilities
  • Interesting gameplay
  • Allowing four new races to be edited to create more custom techtrees for mappers
  • Clean and easy to use.

  • Might not be Battle.net compatible
  • Can overwrite and lose your TFT
  • Can cause lag and crashing

Wow cool, but you should try to invent a race from your own imagination or from people's ideas that would be awesome to see that.
